Works very well, drys hair quickly! Warms fast, air flow amazingly strong. Does not suck up my long hair like the old style where the air intake was at the end with the air outlet. UPDATE: changed my rating to 5 stars. This is a very good quality hair dryer for the price point. And, YES, there are two levels of speeds, coupled with the 3 heat levels (cool = blue light, medium = pink light, hot = red light). So far, when I use the Medium speed with the medium heat... my baby fine hair looks fuller, softer, thicker after drying. What is nice about the ion level (the primary reason I bought this particular hair dryer) is that I have less frizzy hair; also, I am not baking my scalp the way the other hair dryer used to do. This is a good product. On the positive side: Efficient Medium speed my hair took 10 to 11 minutes to dry (I have baby fine hair and not an excess amount of it). Hot speed: my hair took about 6 min to dry The temperature control (1 cool, 2 heat) you touch a button and see the back of head turn from blue to pink to red, easy to see. Nice feature having an attached rubber cord tie. What is the selling point on this hair dryer is the 500 million ions to keep my hair smoother, shinier. My hair does feel fluffier and fuller than using the brand name hair dryer (which died after 35 years). I like the 500 million ions aspect. Price point? Ordered on sale which made it more appealing. Lesser qualities: Larger than what I expected, I don't know if I would call this an easy portable hair dryer (you would have to store in a large duffel bag or in your suitcase). The hair dryer is bulkier than I hoped for, but I can deal with it as long as my hair looks great !! Took longer to dry my hair than expected and as advertised. The filter for the air is at the bottom of the handle, when drying my hair I kept forgetting it was there and my hand was covering the bottom air flow.
