This thing is amazing. I got a free Snoo bassinet from my employer but I hated it. I had a c-section so I looked up the brand bassinet that was used in the hospital and saw that it was a halo. Two of the things I really loved about the one in the hospital were: 1. It could swivel to me so I could pull the bassinet to me from the hospital bed, which was SO helpful while recovering from surgery. 2. The side of the bassinet is collapsible so I could pick up baby from the bassinet so easily. The weight of my forearms would collapse the side of the bassinet while I was picking her up - so I didn’t have to use my abdominal muscles at all. Some additional features this one has that I love: The sides are mesh so I don’t have to worry about baby rolling over and not being able to breathe if he face is against a side. The height is perfect for pulling over a bed. The bassinet basket is removable! We took it off of the base and brought it to a hotel so baby could still sleep in a familiar space. It has several sound and vibration settings. I love using the heartbeat sound for my baby. Helps her fall asleep. The size is good and as a bassinet, it is the most functional one I’ve had. I wish I had bought one for my first two c-sections. It is a bit on the heavier side - but only if you have to carry it around. If you keep it stationary next to your bed and just deal with the swivel function, it is a piece of cake! I love it and this is seriously one of the best items I’ve purchased post c-section. It is a worth every penny. Also highly recommend the halo swaddles. This company has got sleep down pat for babies! Read more

We used an older Halo Bassinest model in the past for our older daughter and loved it. I felt at peace knowing she was safe and I loved having her close. I never worried about SIDS or suffocation risks because of the flat mattress, mesh sides, and super sturdy frame. We never used any of the electronic features and didn’t really feel like we needed any of them. We also wanted to avoid creating any unnecessary sleep associations, so we didn’t really use the vibrating feature. We’re expecting our youngest in three months, and I am absolutely thrilled this newer model comes with the option to detach the stand so you can move the bassinest around the house for naps or use it while traveling. I also love that you can remove and wash the fabric in the washer! I’ll post updates as we use this newer model with our youngest but so far upon setting it up, I’m so pleased! It’s beautiful, sturdy, and well-designed. The only hiccup we had was when assembling the bassinet. One of the curved rods that supports the fabric sides was just ever so slightly bent in at the end enough to make it difficult to connect into the other piece to complete the assembly of the frame. We had to use some needle nose pliers wrapped in fabric to fix the dent without scratching the frame, and then we were able to connect the two top rails together. Not a big deal to me, but this bassinet is pricy for having this issue. Testing out the process of taking the bassinet on and off the stand was something I was curious about (as there were no prior reviews on Amazon at the time of our purchase) but it works pretty easily! The bassinet bed comes off the stand fairly easily and it’s fairly fool-proof connecting it back together. Since you can’t really look under the bassinet while your holding it to see where it should connect into the stand, they more or less designed a big funnel shape to help guide you into the right spot. It clicks when it’s locked in. It was much easier to use than I thought it would be. Now time to wait for baby to come!! Read more

I spent a lot of time deciding on my first baby's bassinet and finally chose this one and I'm glad I did. It was not too big. The base is wide but it fit under my bed so was not much in the way. The swivel was great for getting out of bed and I liked that I could them through the mesh. The vibration also helped I think. Our room was very small and this was a great fit. I can't wait to put my next baby in it Read more

Perfect sleeping furniture for my grandson. He slept peacefully next to his mother’s bed. She could reach over and comfort him without leaving her bed. Read more

This bassinet has been awesome. We started with doing shifts and my husband would disconnect and bring into the office while I slept in our room, and when it was my turn return to the room back on to the base. Can bring to other rooms of the house but now he is stationary in his room with myself to sleep with him. The being able to take the bassinet without the base to different locations is honestly one of the coolest features. The soothing preset is super handy to just press before he is in our remotely from the app. The app does suck and freezes but otherwise super good price for what you get especially in comparison to something like the snoo. The media could not be loaded. This was my big ticket “splurge” item for my baby. I wanted so badly to like it. Unfortunately it’s just terrible on many levels. The connectivity feature did not work. Support was unable to help me. We even tried 2 different wifi providers. Whether it was an app/software issue or a hardware issue within the bassinet I don’t know. And I see now that this is a common problem for this item. The “rocking” feature was a very herky jerky slight side to side swivel. It literally could give a newborn whiplash. The vibration is loud and obnoxious. These soothing features are anything but. Bassinet is large with a large footprint required for the splayed legs. Did not reach to the top of my bed. The mesh is not see through so you cannot see your baby if it sits at eye level while you’re lying down. I ended up returning this and getting the non-wifi 3.0 swivel bassinest. It’s nearly the same minus the rocking motion and the mesh IS actually see through. Same large space required. But if you’re in the market for this particular bassinet here, skip it and either get another kind, or save yourself $100 and get the one without the wireless connectivity. Read more
