Initially, I thought the function keys (F1, F2,...) acted primarily as media keys, but upon reading the manual, they can be changed to act primarily as function keys by hitting 'Fn' + the 'Save' key, which is the key left of the 'calculator' key on the top right. They call the feature "Lock/Unlock function keys" in the manual. It has beautiful rainbow backlighting with automatic shut-off, quiet typing, quiet mouse clicks, the phone holder is wide, the textured wrist rest adds quality, and the grippy feel of the surface of each key is nice. However, I assumed incorrectly that the rainbow colors meant you could change the backlighting to be any color, when in fact it's always rainbow color. The option 'Fn" + 'End' is for brightness levels only (including turning the backlight off). More light appears around the edges of the keys than thru the key symbols themselves so if you really need to have those symbols bright, it may not be for you. The mouse buttons for browsing forward/back are kind of difficult to use (maybe I'm not used to it), and I sometimes accidentally hit the browse back button, which is annoying, especially when I'm typing information into a form. Overall, it's just like in the pictures, though I'm not sure how all the media buttons work, since in Youtube the forward/back buttons don't seem to do anything, and hitting the stop button will stop the video, but it loses focus and you can't start the video again with the play/pause button. The play/pause button does work normally for Youtube, tho. I wish they had a media button for mute, instead of relegating it to a function key, but maybe I can find a way to reprogram the stop button to act as mute using 3rd party software like 'AutoHotkey'. I was nervous prior to ordering this keyboard for my laptop workstation at home; I had never heard of this manufacturer and I tend to stick to brand names. I am happy to announce I was deeply misguided in my skepticism. The quality of material used for both the keyboard and mouse were fantastic. Both the mouse and keyboard feel and look amazing. Both seamlessly integrated into my workstation without needing additional drivers or software. At this price point this deal is a steal. I initially bought this combo just for the keyboard, but the mouse was much more responsive than the more expensive one I already have. I was even surprised by how seamlessly it connected to my iPad and how responsive it is. I don’t normally write reviews but this one is well deserved. The keyboard has a nice feel to it and the mouse works perfectly only reason for taking away a star is because I wish the keyboards RGB could be customized but it's really not, other than that this product is worth the price of comparable sets out there! Works great with my PC. The mouse clicks very quietly. The keyboard is not as quiet, but okay. The keyboard was super easy to set up and install. Fully charged both keyboard and mouse overnight. Set the backlight to my liking. Lightweight, looks good, and very comfortable. I also appreciate that I can connect both devices without cables. 4.5 rounded up This wireless rechargeable mouse and keyboard combo is perfect for anyone who is an average PC user. The RGB Backlit Effects are exactly that. Just to appear like you have true RGB. The colors are not changeable or customizable. The operation of the product exceeds my expectations. The product worked immediately- true plug and play. No syncing required. No input lag. The charge lasts a very long time. Going on 2 weeks now. The device packaging says to fully charge before use but the device came charged. Since there was no manual, I had to figure out "the blue light means fully charged" on my own, and that is my only complaint about this mouse and keyboard combo. Very pleased. Read more
