I received this plant yesterday and yes it was wrapped up in plastic in almost an oblong ball. Once I was able to remove the heavy packing tape wrapped around the whole outside of the plastic and remove the plant I felt the color and quality looked nice. I did notice some holes in the ceramic base that were empty. So before I put it in the water I messaged the company and asked if I might have received a used plant or defective plant due to the empty holes. They were quick to reply with a picture from the factory showing extra holes were indeed in the base and they were empty. Maybe to help keep the base down? So I put it in my tank and some of the flowers were up high so I couldn’t see them. I was able to remove sections and add the flowers lower so I couldn’t see them!! You can make the plant shorter and a little bit fuller by adding some sections to the extra holes! I have both pictures of what it looked like before I moved some of the flowers lower so I could see them! I feel the plant looks realistic and is a softer plastic so it moves with the water. I think it adds color to my aquarium and a place for fish to hide from the bullies of the tank 😂 There is always at least one bully 😂 I have ordered some sea grass plastic plants to replace an old faded plant, I don’t want to over crowd the tank! I will update if need be! For reference my tank is 21” high 12” deep 35” long Read more
I originally ordered one of these and I liked it so much in my aquarium that I ordered another. Very pretty and I love that it is soft so my fish can swim through it if he feels like it without getting scratched by hard plastic plants. It has stayed down and not floated at all in my tank. And a very reasonable price compared to what you’d buy in a pet store. Would recommend. Read more
My aquarium is all live plants with the exception of this one. I love the little pop of color it adds to the otherwise natural look. It is quite tall and I trimmed mine a bit to use in a vertical 10 gallon aquarium. Might be too tall for a lot of aquariums but it is quite lovely to look at. Read more
I like the splash of purple color in my tank. I've had them about 3 months and they're holding up fine so far. They're quite large; good for a 55 gallon but probably too tall for anything shorter than 24". Would buy again. Read more
Nice and tall. Fit our 55 gallon tank well. It's a great piece if you're looking for something to fill up part of a tank. I also really like the colors! Read more
Looks great in my tank! I needed to give my tank a little plant lift. My 29 cent feeder goldfish, at around 10, maybe 12 years old, has outlive my expectations and outgrew 2 tanks! The present one is a vertical 35 gallon and this plant has the height I was looking for! It was very thick with branches so I thinned it (smidge too much maybe) and mixed it with another plant. I like the color, shows up well without being overwhelming. Very good quality, the plastic is not hard. Iris, the ever lasting gobstobber of a feeder fish, swims freely around and through it without a scratch. That fish may out live me! Totally recommend! Read more
