A friend lent us her slow cooker to create a meal for an event of which we were a part. The sheer ease of preparing whole chicken, as well as other dishes, moved this cooker up to the prime spot in the Christmas gift parade! I had a 5qt crockpot that wasn’t cutting it for a few recipes. Upgrading to the 7qt resolved my issues and let me make pozole in one container. I was skeptical of the “smart” creatures but they aren’t that smart, just basic timers that prevent overcooking. It’s easy to use and intuitive. Read more

This size is larger than my last, but I wanted a new crockpot with a lid that would make transportation easier. I tried other models at the store and had trouble with them, so this super rubberband-like feature works for me. I think high is hotter than normal. Read more
