Not like my 1940's HB Mixet

The journey started with my 1940's HB mixet start to run louder and slower. nor whipping my spuds. Not wanting to totally kill it I started looking at hand mixers. I have tested a Breville handy mix, Kitchen aid corded 9 speed(still have and love), their cordless and a no name cordless, HB pro corded (nice but needs 2 whisks) . First the POZ. It blows away the others I have tried in power and battery life. Even the corded mixers I tryed had less power. Its a little chunky but managable as I am elderly and disabled. Its weight is on the lighter side. I used my KA Pro 5 to make some oatmeal cookie dough then took to the dough with the HB cordless. It plowed through the dough so well at half speed, I decided to really test it and give it full power. (total abuse). It has so much power my wriste aches now and I almost could not hold on to it as it plouwed through the very thick dough, so the low power issue in other adds is not valid. The mixer also is fast enough to make whipping cream using 2 whisks not one in very short order like 90 seconds its time to stop and mix in the sugar and van. THis mixer makes a gear noise when in use and is louder with speed and load, so whats that about ? being a retired mechanic,I have really had a hard time not opening it up and seeing why? Heres my take on it.. So most all mixers have plastic gears. well the harder the gears rather plastic or other wise the louder they can be. So I would rather hear my mixers hard and durable gears then soft quiet gears.. Look people when the mixer hits the dough this one will mix it up for you, and with a 5 YEAR WARRANTY many will be complaining about the noise for quite some time as HB is known for quality (and some faulty like all manufacturers) products. I have taken some white lithium grease and sprayed it in the beater holes and it became quieter.(warranty void?) also after the cookie dough it became quieter so I think it will become quieter after a few batches of cookies. I noticed that this mixer is as easy to use its controls with my right hand as well as my left. Yes it has a extra step of turning on the main power on the side, then press the thumb control turn it on and spin the dial for speed. It is easily controlled my you thumb only on left or right hand. Goodbye cords. Works very well. Well designed battery lasts

OK, just finnished my first Thanksgiving with this product. It performed beyond my expectations. There was nothing that this mixer struggled with. From mashed pitatoes to whipping light airy whipped cream. It excelled. What I was pleasantly surprised to find is that the battery lasted through all of my cooking without needing to be recharged. Highly recommend. Goodbye to cords! Read more

Perfect little hand mixer

Stop fighting that corded hand mixer; spend the money and get this one. Not too heavy in your hand, love the slow start speed. Beaters are very easy to clean. I like the placement of the "power on" button near the bottom and that you also then have to press the speed dial to turn it on...won't accidentally turn it on and fling batter everywhere. Powerful enough for what you would use the hand mixer for.... heavy doughs need the big stand mixer. Very happy with this mixer, I hope it lasts for at least a couple of years. Read more

If you like to replace it within a year, go for it.

Planned obsolences? Seems like about a year is maximum this will last. If you use it frequently enough, battery seems to go bad quickly. I used one for 6 months and it stopped charging, same story next replacement and now this one bites the dust exact same way a year later. While I enjoyed lot of things about the unit (nice storage for accessories, decent power and speed), paying it for a year of use and throw away is not my idea of kitchen tool. There are hand mixer I got (smaller one) from unbranded chinese one that is going strong still unlike this one. Read more

Heavy if mixing for a long time but better than ones with cords.

Love the cordless. It a bit heavy but better than being pulled by a cord or having to hold the cord with the other hand while mixing. Read more

Not so great

I've only had this mixer for a few months, and it works Ok. The mixer vibrates at all speeds more than I would expect a mixer to vibrate, and the motor whines like it's underpowered. So far, however, it has mixed everything I have wanted to mix. Read more

Works Great!

At first I was puzzled by the fact that it has just one beater, but it works great. It’s easy to hold and holds a charge well. I’m very pleased with it. Read more
