Brought a small roll of this (I split it off into a small dowel rod so it was more compact) with me on the Camino de Santiago. Indispensable for patching hot spots and preventing blisters on the 500+ mile run! Tape is a little tricky to tear, but with practice or some small scissors you can get small and large squares fit for any area. Adhered well all day long and even hung in there reasonably well when my feet were soaked on rainy days. Left minimal gooey residue which washed off with a hot water, soap, and a little scrubbing. Note I always washed and dried my feet before application to remove any excess oils and dirt. This tape doesn't stick as well if your feet are dirty or sweaty on application. This will be a permanent addition to my backpacking gear. Simply stellar! Read more
This tape has worked great for my needs. I have sensitive skin, and removing it has not given me any problems. Rolls (2 rolls) are boxed and sealed well, and cutting it is easy. It was also the best price I could find for the amount after searching different stores and websites. I applied an icy pack on my husband’s back that wouldn’t stick well, so I had to tape along the edges of the patch, which lasted him 11 hours, and before hopping into the shower, I removed it using coconut oil and removed with ease. I had to apply a little more coconut oil in a spot that had a bit more adhesive, my guess. You can also remove with baby oil, or apply ice and let it set a bit before trying to remove. I plan on purchasing another package for to keep in our emergency kit. Read more
Tried this out to compare it's effectiveness to Leukotape. The adhesion is less effective, but this could be seen as a good thing. I used it daily for 2 weeks on the tail end of having Turf toe. It kept me on the mats(BJJ) 1 to 2 hours a day. Good support and you need less tape than if you were to use the standard white athletic tape. As for the value, you definitely get more bang for your buck compared to Leukotape. And yes, it is way easier to remove after class that Luekotape. I highly recommend this stuff if you want more bang for your buck, just as good as Luekotape, just a tad less adhesion. Which is great if you don't want to use pre-wrap! Read more
This tape is far superior than sport tape, mole skin tape, all human use tape. It’ll stick through sweat, rain, water immersion. I use it for blister prevention, control, and all other uses in my packs. Read more
Any spot on my feet that I feared might give me trouble on a long hike was taped up. After grueling temps throughout Death Valley, Grand Canyon, Boundary Peak (NV) and Mt. Whitney (CA), I never had any issues with blisters. This is such a wonderful preventative tool. The only negative thing I could possibly say (and this is very minor) is that the tape sticks SO WELL, that it actually sticks to the sock liner too--but given that I was hiking in 117 degree temps, I forgave the tape for this. Anyway, simple solution is to NOT take your sock liners off until your hike is completely over. Problem solved! Oh! And if you're too late to apply the tape because you already have a blister because you're a husband and too stubborn to listen to your wife and apply it before the hike started, just put on your padded bandaids over the blister--then put the tape over top of the bandaids so they won't come off a few miles into the hike. I sooooo love this product. Read more
This tape is miraculous. Last week I hiked up to Caribou Lakes in the Trinity Alps. I started to feel iritarion on my thumbs from my trekking poles, so I put on some tape. I also felt a blister forming on my right foot pinky toe, so I put some tape on there. The tape stayed on all three places the entire trip! This through hiking 11 miles in a day, swimming in cold alpine lakes, tons of sunscreen being applied every hour and a half, sweat, scrambling, and falling in scree fields. I was thoroughly impressed with the tape being so durable and protective. It only came off once I was back from camping and decided to take it off. Another awesome event for the tape happened 2 weeks ago. I was bouldering outside and I had cut the bottom of my thumb (where it connects to my palm) while picking up bag by the buckle. The cut started to burn while climbing as I was mantling quite a bit. I put some of this tape on and the tape remained there for the entire duration of contact. Which is amazing because I was putting it against sharp and tough rock, sweating, and constantly resupplyiny chalk. The tape was more resillient than my calloused skin. I’ll be using this stuff over the white climbing tape from now on. I even prefer the tape to band aids. I put a lil gauze with it, or use the back side of the tape as “gauze” for small cuts, and then put the tape on. This stuff is seriously tough. I’ll never go outdoors without it now. I cannot recommend this product enough! Read more
I fell for the sponsored ad for my Leuko result. It was 2 dollars cheaper than what it originally was so hopped on the deal. But realized wasn’t what i thought once it arrived. Which I was fine with I was excited to support lesser known brands that work as well. After two day’s I’ve realized it’s not as good. I use it for a bruised heal and plantar fasciitis and it rolls up when walking barefoot and comes off after a day. Definitely worth spending the extra two dollars a roll. It’s a good quality tape but also can’t tear without scissors. I’ll use it as support tape but not as the final tape holding it all together. Sorry wish it was much better, maybe better on something that’s not a foot Read more
