These are awesome little weights! They have a nice feel to them (I think they're sand-filled). The strap on the back makes it a little easier to hold, although as a woman, it's loose on my hand. I purchased these specifically to increase shadowboxing workout resistance. They are sand filled. I wish the covers were removable to I could wash them as my hands get pretty sweaty while holding them. Trade-offs for everything, I guess. Oh well... they work, they weren't absurdly expensive, so they're worth four stars. Read more
