Fit: I am 79 and my body is not shaped like it used to be, so no panties are going to fit perfectly. These panties come close to fitting, though, and are probably true to size if you have a younger body. Specifically, the waist is a bit too high, but the fabric is very "forgiving," so when I put the waistband where it belongs, the extra fabric sort of settles into place without causing wrinkles or discomfort of any kind. The waistband is a little tight, so if your waist does not "indent" a little, it may be uncomfortable for you. Otherwise, the panty fits snugly without being tight. Waistband and legbands: These are fabric over elastic, a little larger than a string of spaghetti. But they do not "bite." There is no visible elastic and there is no chance of rolling up (like elastic waistbands tend to do, if you are overweight). Unless you order a size that is too small, they should be very comfortable. Softness: Oh, my, what a lovely material. It is very (and I mean VERY) soft, and has what at first appear to be tiny holes throughout, but which are actually a pattern of thinner (translucent) spots in the fabric that allow for airflow. Delightfully comfortable to the skin. Value: Still can't believe how inexpensive they are. Now I have had them only long enough for one washing, so I can't speak to their durability, but I cannot spot any flaws so far. I had been buying the same panties for years and I liked them, however, I had an on going problem with using any type of feminine hygiene product...pads-pantiliners...without getting rips in the crotch. I was fed up and thought I'd try a new type. I was a little wary of the mesh thing, wondering if it would be some odd material or not be smooth enough for my pants to slide over and would the crotch hold up and what size? Well, the material is silky and smooth, it is cooler than nylon or cotton, it has a full sewn in crotch so no rips/holes so far and relying on Amazon's recommended size they fit perfectly. What a well made brief! I love the soft wicking material. The side seams are off set, forward, so they don't bury themselves into the skin on your hips. Some of my jeans will be a little snug when sitting and will press the seams of my briefs painfully into my skin. This off-set design eliminates that problem altogether!
