Cons - Advertised Length/Width/ Height Measurements (12.4”L x 8.46”W x 15.59”H) do not include; raised zipper protecting rubber bumpers, raised zipper pull locking mechanism, raised top handle, full length of wheels (floor to bottom of case). The advertised Volume measurement however is close, only .75L under the actual Volume of 23.75L (acc’g to my outside case/box ONLY measurements) My actual outside dimensional measurements, including the above mentioned details, are: 13.5”L x 9”W x 17”H (from hard/flat floor surface to highest point on case [handle]). The outside case/box ONLY measurements NOT including details mentioned above are: 12.4”L x 8.5”W x 13.75”H. To calculate Liter, volume capacity of case/box ONLY, measure L x W x H x .0163871 and you find the capacity at 23.75 Liters. Although measuring inside dimensions is best I measured the outside not including the above mentioned details. Actual color “Burgundy” is much more muted compared to product picture. This review is for the 16-in Hanke under seat carry-on. I needed a carry-on to be able to bring on my 15.6 in surface laptop and peripherals including a 17-in display portable monitor (height is 15.7 in) Most under seat hard case carry-ons did not have the capacity to fit everything I needed or they were too big and could not fit under seat. I did not want to carry on my shoulder all of these items so I purchased this carry-on based on the measurements and the design accommodations that it will fit my equipment. I was pleasantly surprised that although it is marketed to only fit a 13-in laptop, it did fit my 15-in when I placed it in vertically and the band that secures the laptop is stretchy enough to accommodate for this. Underneath the 15-in laptop sleeve, there is enough room to place my 17-in monitor along with a 14.5-in keyboard inside a cloth case. The fit is a bit snug but it works. And the other part of the clamshell still has room to pack one set of clothes and some toiletries. I had previously purchased a soft cloth under seat carry-on in the past but found that it is easy to over pack an under seat carry-on if it expands. That defeats the purpose of being able to place this under your seat. I needed a carry-on that in the event there was no overhead space, it would still fit under my seat. The hard case shell prevents over packing in nooks and crannies that will then cause trouble with getting your carry-on to fit underneath a plane seat. This carry-on also has fantastic rollers and a very sturdy handle. It's also made beautifully. I will edit this review depending on how it holds up on trips, but it looks like if you don't have to check it and it doesn't get thrown around all the time by baggage handlers, it is a quality item that can last a while.
