This mat is worth every penny! It comes with a nice carrying bag that has an adjustable shoulder strap. Even the zipper on this bag zips and unzips smoothly and easily! The mat itself is significantly wider than my other mats. The only odor is of a light rubber scent. The bottom of the mat is a VERY non-slip textured rubber. The top has a gray non-slip layer on it. I don't slip or slide at all in this mat. This top layer is also going to be really easy to clean because it's smooth. It's not thick at all, it's on the thin side but it feels quite nice, even on a concrete floor - that said, if you fall over (like I do sometimes), it's going to hurt because there isn't enough padding for that. But I've tried thicker yoga mats and definitely have more trouble with balance on the thicker ones. This mat is also nice and heavy, so when you unroll it, it stays pretty much flat. I'm really impressed with the quality of this mat! Taking into consideration that I'm no expert with yoga, in fact I'm a pretty casual practitioner of it and don't do it nearly often enough, but I would highly recommend this mat to anyone. This is a very well made exercise mat with great grip. I am 6'1" tall with long arms and legs and this mat fits me well. The 72" x 30" dimensions are accurate. The mat is about 3/16" thick which is thinner than my other yoga mat, but it still provides good cushioning. The product came with a warning that "it may have a smell which will fade over time", but the one that I received did not have a smell at all. The grip is impressive when I used this both with bare feet and while wearing socks. This mat is also much easier to clean than my other mat because of the smooth top surface. I normally use this mat in my home gym on a carpeted floor and it does not slide around at all on the carpet. It is curious that the specs says that the mat is completely waterproof, but there is also a warning to "please use on dry ground". I'm not sure why the warning. I also like the carrying case which is much more substantial than others that I have used. The mat lays flat every time that I unroll it. This mat is a little heavier than others that I have used, but the heavier weight, high quality materials used to make this should make it last a very long time. Read more
