I do not state that this Harmon Kardon exceeded my expectations lightly. The sound coming out of this unit is amazing. It rivals the sound from my stereo system. It is not nearly as loud, but I did not buy it for loud music. It sounds great inside and out on the deck. You cannot go wrong with the Onyx 6. Did a lot of research ahead of buying this. Am generally an audiophile but was looking for something with a little more thump, waterproof for the backyard, and decent sound quality. While this is technically portable, it is heavy and the battery life leaves something to be desired. But we are primarily using this in the backyard as a speaker and we have plugs outdoors. this is a great speaker, has great sound and i was able to buy brand new from a third party seller for $99. could use a battery change this battery take like 5 hours to charge and lasts about the same, and its heavy for a speaker. Read more
