This steamer is tremendous, it has excellent power, and it warms up quickly for use! Having not ever utilized a steam cleaner of this type; I was not entirely sure just what to expect. As I often do, prior to these things with which I am not entirely unfamiliar arriving, I always try to think about just how I could best test the product to showcase its best qualities. Here is my novel idea. The typical toilet has places where one simply cannot reach to clean. I am talking about the place where the hinge and lid raise and lower. At that intersection, it is difficult to clean unless one entirely unscrews the bolts that are holding the seat and lid. I do try to simply remove those at least once per year, but I know it has now been over a year. After warming the unit up, I put it on that specific area. Oh, I did the lid and the seat as well, though one can always reach all of those areas, so that part was not especially challenging or interesting to me, though it did a very nice job in those areas as well. I was far more interested in seeing whether I could utilize a powerful blast of steam to blow out anything beneath those bolts, specifically where one cannot reach without removing the aforementioned bolts. I WAS BLOWN AWAY, ALONG WITH THE STAINS. It appears there is some rust on there. and this steamer made a dramatic impact. Were it not so embarrassing, I might otherwise show it in action in that area. Take my word, please. This thing can REALLY BLOW steam into inaccessible areas that one cannot typically reach very easily. I would contend that it does a tremendous job on those areas. Next place was on my wood floor. I am entirely certain that going over a wood floor would not typically be something that should be done often. Exposing a wood floor to excessive steam would NEVER be advisable, other than hitting it a couple of times a year for deeper cleaning, perhaps more on a seasonal basis to mitigate damage that could occur if one were using it on wood floors more frequently. I would say, the key is to move fast and not linger in these areas so as to minimize the amount of exposure to moisture. It worked flawlessly on my wood floors though I did move rather quickly to minimize any possible damage that excess moisture could conceivably cause. You do need to factor in my inexperience with using this tremendous tool, but given my first two exposures, I absolutely LOVE it! It feels sturdy, and well-constructed, giving one an impression as though it should last, and it is light to maneuver. I also have some tile in my basement that has become tracked up, as we do not do much down there, mainly using that for storage. The steamer did an excellent job on the deeply embedded dirt on the face of the ceramic tile, allowing it to be wiped up easily. This steamer does an excellent job! It heats up very quickly and is easy to use, even if you are inexperienced. It is basically rather intuitive, once you get an understanding of how you add water and set it. This is a tremendous cleaning tool. In fact, though I have not used one before, given the ease with which it enables many hard surfaces to be wiped off, even when heavily soiled like the tile I mentioned, I would not want to be without one at this point.
