Arrived quickly. Nice feel to the fabric, a dressy look with a bit of deep-black sheen. At 5'5" and 214 lbs., I found the 2X (short) slightly large. It's meant to fit rather loosely around the hips, but I probably could have done with 1X for the waist and length. Read more

These have 'sweatpants' in the name, but they aren't fleece or french terry lined, which is fine with me, that's better for my purposes. But people looking for sweatpants would probably be confused or even disappointed. They are dressy enough for my business casual workplace, so I was happy about that. The fabric is stretchy and comfortable, but probably too thick/heavy for many in warm weather. There is an interior drawstring, which is helpful, because IMO these run large. There are four functional decent sized pockets. The hems on the legs have puckering at the stitches, and highlight that the hems aren't sewn straight/evenly. It's probably not the type of thing that other people would readily notice when you're wearing these, but for the price, it's not an easily overlooked flaw. The piping on the front of the legs also 'wobbles' and has flat spots right out of the package - I do wonder how well the piping will hold up after repeated wearing/washing/drying (these are machine wash/dry). When it comes to sweatpants, HDE brings a bold contender with their Plus Size Pull On Pintuck Pants Casual Dressy Sweatpants with Pockets. The brand’s attention to waist, hip, and inseam accuracy is impressive, but beware—the rise will enthusiastically climb up to the bra band, channeling your inner Steve Urkel in seconds. For those whose proportions line up in all the right places (waist, hip, inseam), yet carry weight in the belly, HDE’s high-rise fit might actually be a feature, not a bug. Labeling these as “sweatpants” is generous; they wear like heavyweight, dense yoga pants daring to moonlight as dress pants. With a unique blend of 79% cotton, 14% polyester, and 7% spandex, HDE ensures you’ll move with comfort, though you’ll likely reserve these for winter—warm weather will have you seeking air conditioning! Bonus features include machine washability and anti-wrinkle packability, so you’re set for travel and everyday wear. Sizing is inclusive (1X–4X), the fabric substantial, and the pockets—real and useful. The tailored pintuck look is office-ready, but casual enough for lounging. As a heads up, I noticed a few minor quality issues like some loose threads at the seams after the first wash—nothing major, and easily snipped, but worth mentioning for those with a keen eye for finishing details. Rest assured, it doesn’t affect how sturdy or comfortable the pants feel. Verdict: HDE delivers a dressy, winter-worthy lounge pant with their Pintuck Sweatpants, ideal for anyone seeking yoga pant comfort and dress pant polish. High-rise fans will celebrate; ribcage-averse folks might run for cover. Read more
