We don't need every item to be "wow how wonderful." We all need functional clothing that doesn't demand or need attention. And there's no better example than these hairbands. They pull on easily, have enough traction to stay in without slipping, blend in with whatever you're wearing (and who cares if they don't), and can be shoved in a pocket when you feel like it. With eight in the package, you don't have to worry about where you left your preciousssss hairband -- there's always another one. And they are inexpensive enough that you don't have to worry about replacing them. One problem with headbands and hairbands is that they can feel too constricting; sometimes I start to get a headache. I rarely do wear one of these all day, but the stretchy-yet-snug doesn't bother me until late in the day. Frankly, I haven't tried washing one of these.
