I've never used tongue cleaners before. In fact, I can't recall any dentist ever telling me to use one. I have brushed my tongue, but apparently according to what I've read, that's not very beneficial. Not long ago, I received an email featuring copper tongue cleaners and how beneficial they are to clean the tongue, help keep the teeth from extra tartar build-up and even help prevent infections or, if you already have infection to help it heal quicker. I haven't experienced those things yet to know how much this will help, but I felt it was worth a try. The article stated to use the tongue scraper prior to brushing the teeth and to scrape the tongue a number of times. These scrapers are also supposed to help bad breath and even improve the taste buds! A few years ago, I read about hospitals replacing faucets (and areas often touched) with copper in patient's rooms and found how well it cut down on germs. This all made sense and gave me further reason to consider the copper tongue cleaner, so I decided I'd buy one to try. Well, who wants to pay $7.00 or more for one pure copper tongue cleaner when you can buy twelve pure copper tongue cleaners for around $11.00? So I bought the package of twelve, a no-brainer! Now that I've been using it and notice how much cleaner my mouth feels, I wonder why I've gone so long without trying one! It's easy to use, doesn't hurt, doesn't gag, easy to clean when finished, and if it helps prevent infections then all the better! I'm rather interested to find out if using it twice a day will perhaps help allergies to not be as bad by keeping one's tongue clean! UPDATE: These were such a great buy. I was amazed at how long it took for my tongue to actually feel clean and now used regularly it stays clean, mouth stays fresher and it is well over a year since buying these. I use it every day and it is a great tool and works fantastic. I highly recommend them! Read more

Beautiful tongue cleaners in pure copper! Impressed with quality and quantity for price. Pros: Copper is naturally hostile to germs. Very robustly made. Aesthetically pleasing. Bang for the buck! Cons: Scraping section could have been a bit sharper, like my old stainless steel version I bought in India. But can be sharpened. I missed the tongue cleaners and ear cleaners you could buy in India on the streets, that were sharp and effective. Imagine my surprise to find that you could buy these on Amazon!!!! How terrific! So I bought this pack, and was very impressed with how beautiful they look. They also meet my functional need and are effective tongue scrapers. Leaves your mouth very clean after brushing. Value is unbeatable in a 10 pack! My kids and friends are getting the extras. Yes, they could have been a bit sharper on edges, so I will find a way to 'sharpen' them. Heartily recommend! Read more

First, this is the best price for a quality copper tongue scraper/cleaner on Amazon. Better than brushing your tongue with your toothbrush. The length of the handles is sufficient to reach the back of your tongue without stick your fingers in your mouth. The thickness of the scrapping/cleaning paddle is perfect to get a clean scrape and still hold it's original shape after bending to stow it away. I stow mine in a fat toothbrush travel tube (1.5" diameter) to protect it from contamination between uses, and when I pull it out, it springs right back to the original shape. That is important because the curvature should stay smooth and not get a kink in the cleaning padel. The knobs on each end make it easy to use (grip). The instructions remind you to be gentle to avoid damaging your tastebuds (thank you for that). BE GENTLE! It's own weight is sufficient to do the job - don't put down-pressure on it. Finally, the cleaning padel is nicely radiused and polished to prevent damage (cutting) your tongue or taste buds. Read more

I've used tongue scrappers for a decade now but had only purchased them in Chinatown previously. These copper tongue scrappers work as intended and are well priced. The flattened part of the scrapper is a bit small for my large tongue but works with a couple swipes. The copper does leave a metallic taste in ones mouth so when i purchase these again i will get the stainless steel ones. Read more
