First, let me get the negative out of the way. Only 186 pieces of heat shrink tubing were in the package, and not the 195 which were supposed to be there. Yes, I counted them all. And the count on the smallest sizes was too low on one but a little bit higher than it was supposed to be on the next bigger size. But still short of the overall listed quantity. So Minus-1 on the rating right off the bat. Everything else was in the package. The mini heat gun, the heat deflector/reflector that slips onto the air nozzle, the 50 wire ties (aka zip ties), and the self adhesive strap (aka velcro strap). The hot air gun works, has two speeds/settings. The deflector works to help some hot air get to the 'back side' of the heat shrink tubing that you are working on. But physically it doesn't work all that well on the largest sizes, because there just isn't enough room and space for the shrink tubing to get in front of the nozzle and still get hot air around the tubing to bounce behind. I'll probably just use the hot air gun without the deflector and rotate things to shrink everything evenly. The heat shrink tubing does indeed seem to be 4:1 shrink ratio (yes, I tested all the sizes and measured the before and after sizes). And there is some heat activated adhesive in there as well. The 1.5 inch length of the pieces might be a little short for some uses, so do a trial fit of your layout BEFORE you shrink anything or finalize any connections. With the 4:1 shrink ratio you can just use two pieces of tubing and overlap one over the other a little bit and join them that way to get more length coverage. Not quite as neat as using just one longer piece of shrink tubing on the joint, but workable (if you plan ahead and do the test fit). All in all, a pretty good kit. We needed to shrink wrap connections behind bulkheads on our sailboat. This kit fit the bill perfectly! We found it works best for our needs when used with the included heat reflector nozzle. The reflector nozzle provides for a more uniformly controlled shrink on water resistant butt connectors as well as the included shrink tubing. The only downside is that the heat reflector gets very hot and slips off as easily as it slips on. We learned very quickly to have a leather glove handy for recovering the heat deflector in tight spaces.
