Ive been wearing the same ski gloves for about 20 years now, a big name brand, and loved them, but they've finally started to tear and there are a few burn holes from popping seeds sparked up on the lift. SO I decided to give this pair a go. 1st thing, trying them on, I usually use an XL glove. I had a suspicion I should size up & I wasn't wrong. The gloves in an XXl just fit with enough space to allow for a little trapped air from proper protection from the cold. Without the heaters on, the gloves are adequate, with the heaters on, the gloves are quite comfortable. I like the long cuff, best to keep under the cuffs of my jackets & parkas, plus it can be cinched up over the sleeves of my shirts if I ski in a vest. Now on to the battery, designed to fit the zip pocket under the cuff, but in an odd configuration considering the orientation of the cord. Using the gloves I've found its best to orient the jack towards the fingers & the power button closest to the closed end of the zipper, this makes it easiest to power up the battery before running the gloves. I did notice that you have to be very sure the plug is seated fully in the battery jack, and it wants to fight you to seat it fully. As long as the battery is powered on you can run the gloves at 1 of 3 power levels, they're decent but not screaming warm even at the highest setting. Wow! I have so many good things to say about these heated gloves! Durable weatherproof material on the outside; soft and plush on the inside. There's a small female/male type plastic buckle on each glove to hook them together so they are not easy to lose. The thumb and forefinger on each glove allow you to use a touchscreen without taking the gloves off. The batteries have a quality charger which takes only a few hours to fully charge, and allows you to charge both batteries at the same time since they are two separate batteries. There is an indicator light on the batteries to let you know the status; red for charging, yellow for 90% charged, green for fully charged. The batteries fit snuggly into a zippered pouch at the base of each glove with a cable inside to plug them in. The gloves with the batteries inserted are surprisingly not heavy at all. You power the heat on and off by holding the power button in for a couple seconds. I like this feature because they won't get accidentally turned on or off when bumped or in use. There are three easily identifiable heat level settings. You feel the heat instantly, but it is a nice warmth as opposed to being too hot which could make your hands sweat. As others said, these run a bit small. I matched my finger length with the chart and bought a large, and they still feel a bit smaller than I had hoped. I normally wear a large and these do fit, but the fingers are a tad short. Even without the heater on, these are very snug and warm gloves. The palm is nice and grippy and the fingers work on touchscreens. These are thick gloves, though, so your dexterity is really limited. There's a buckle on the back of the wrist that you can tighten down to improve the fit once your hand is in. It's easy to tighten and loosen them even with both gloves on. There's also an elastic cinch that lets you tighten the cuff around your arm. You have to push in a little button to release it which is definitely harder to undo with gloves on, but you can pull the glove off even if it's cinched pretty tight. The battery packs are 3000 mah each. They charge through USB C which you can charge from a single USB A port with the included split cable. It charges SLOW without a high speed port, takes hours. Plugging them in separately to powerful chargers is suggested. In operation they connect to the gloves with a barrel jack, not USB, so keep that in mind if you're thinking about replacing them. They weigh a fair bit, but not too much. They fit into zipper pockets on the gloves, just below the wrist. A bit bulky but not too bad. The zippers are really high quality, locking in place when you flip the zipper handle a certain direction. Probably too heavy if you're moving your arms a ton, but in that situation you're probably not going to be be so cold in the first place. The heat comes from the back of the fingers and upper top of your hand. That's good enough for me, keeps your fingers warm which is the most important part. You control these from big rubber buttons on the top of the wrist. Long press to turn them on, long press again to turn them off. Press to cycle between high, medium, and low. They start in high, but the manual says they automatically switch to medium after five minutes. I think that's a good idea. On high these produce a lot of heat which is good for getting cold fingers warm, but gets a bit too warm to be comfortable. The buttons are easy to operate even with gloves on. Overall I think these are an excellent value for $50. Five stars! Edit: After using these for a while, I'm come to the conclusion that they're just too small for me. I honestly wonder if the measurements on the chart are measurements of the glove rather than the hand that'll fit it. The gloves are still really nice though. As others have mentioned, these gloves run small, but for a woman with small hands, that works for me. The gloves seem easy enough to use, just charge them up, insert the warmers into the gloves, and you’re ready to go. My hands have a really hard time warming up on their own, so I appreciate the comfort and functionality of these gloves since I don’t have to rely on my own body heat to keep warm with these. I think these are good quality gloves that will keep your hands warm. Read more
