I'll start with the good. It heats up and allows you to scoop out ice cream straight from the freezer. Unfortunately, that is where the good news ends. It doesn't heat up to the temperature that it says it heats up to. It reads "100 degrees" but feels just slightly warm to the touch. That temperature should burn my finger as soon as I touch it. So the temperature readings are off. You have to be ESPECIALLY careful to not get water into the area where the plug to charge the spoon would go. Which for me personally, makes it a little annoying to clean. I figured how to use it with these "quirks" which involves some muscle power on my end which to me kind of defeats the purpose of a heated ice cream scoop. Holding the handle activates the heating mechanism, and it continues heating for 40 seconds after you release the handle. It heats up quickly and is ready to use in no time. It takes about one hour to charge using the included Type-C cable, or you can use your own Type-C cable. The battery percentage and temperature is displayed on the base of the handle.
