This pad is great. It easily fits in my sleeping bag and is the most efficient method of heating electrically there is. I can power it with my solar battery unit and run it for days. It only uses a max of 120 watt-hrs for 8 hours of operation. My solar batter unit can run it 10 nights. It's just enough to keep me warm in a sleeping bag. Don't rely on it by itself. Read more

Worked really well in a 0 degree bag with outside temps at 26F through the night. Low was enough to keep things more or less toasty. Read more

I bought these hoping that they would help warm up my sleeping cot. They did not succeed. I then was lucky enough to find two sleeping bags for sale in a thrift store. I tried the unit on low, medium and high for three nights straight. I was disappointed to find that it drains out the batteries extremely fast and really doesn't get the sleeping bag very warm. I don't think it's a problem all the way through, I think probably some of the items were not done right and therefore do not operate fully or correctly. I would return them but since I've already had my body against them I'm not really interested in shoving these off to someone else. But I would suggest you look further for items with a higher rating, these are mediocre at best and that's where I leave it. Read more

The thing I didn't like about this was the battery supply used is not a common one. It is lightweight, but on low if you you have about 8hrs before the juice is out. The heating elements are in the right places, especially by the feet. My feet always gets cold but this keeps them toasty warm. It's not super practical for camping because you have to recharge it daily, so you run your car to recharge it, or use a generator, or a big portable battery. The ability to charge while camping is usually precious, so if being warm is a priority then you won't feel like you're wasting you time (or resources) to charge this. Read more

This worked great for outdoor camping during the summer in the mountains. I haven’t tested it in colder weather. Read more
