I’ve been running around with a set of cheap jumper cables for a few years now. You know, the ones that come in an “emergency roadside kit” from the dealership, or Walmart or something. They work, and thankfully I haven’t had to use them except to help others - but they were cheap and frankly dangerous to use. I ran across this set on Amazon and decided it was time for an upgrade. These are definitely an upgrade from the ones I had! They’re not like the professional grade that you’d use everyday on a tow truck or anything, but solidly in the zone below that. The cables themselves are soft and easy to coil up, not like the hard plastic covered ones. The clamps are easy to open but have a good spring to them, and are coated with a rubberized material so they are insulated and comfortable in the hand. I haven’t had the opportunity to use them to jump a car yet, but they tested well and flow current as they should, so I have no worries that they will perform when needed.
