This thing is super heavy duty. It was still easy to install, way easier than say a tv wall mount for instance. We have been using it happily and i love that it came with clips and a spot to clip into. Probably most people use those for those fitness straps or resistance bands but we put up a little aerial hammock to traction stretch our necks! Read more

I really like this pull up bar. I had tried a couple of door frame mounted options before this, and none of them felt secure enough for regular use. This design is a major improvement. It mounts directly onto the exposed beams that are often found near doorways, which gives you a stable setup with plenty of room to move. It also stays completely out of the way, so you never have to take it down just to close the door. In terms of performance, it has been a great addition to my home routine. I already use Bowflex dumbbells at home to avoid extra gym trips, but pull ups were the one major exercise I could not do properly. This bar solved that problem immediately and has held up well through daily use. The grip has no padding, so gloves or added cushioning are helpful if you want to avoid calluses, but the bar itself feels strong and dependable. Overall, this is a solid, practical pull up bar that fits easily into a home setup and delivers exactly what you need for upper body training. I am very happy with it and recommend it. Read more
This pull up bar is awesome and I love that it’s always installed on my door frame. Having the removable one was always a pain for storing this awkward device when not in use but this metal pull up bar is so much better. It is well built and the welds had no issues. It came with mounting hardware but if you are going into concrete or cinder block, be sure to use concrete anchors. The bar is plated metal and doesn’t bend one bit when I’m using it and I’m 185lbs. You will definitely build calluses after using this for a while because the bar doesn’t have a rubber cushion. I like that it comes with carabiners for accessory use as well. Read more

This pull-up bar is well and truly heavy-duty. It has a thick-walled tubular steel construction with beefy welds and a thick, textured powder-coating. It has oval shaped screw hole to make it easy to install and adjust before tightening. Included are strong hollow-wall anchors and lag bolts to fix it to studs in the wall. either of which will use the supplied washers. The tubing shows no sign of deflection under load and seems like it can take the weight of two or there of me. The grip is improved by the texture and the thick-walled tubing fits mine and hubby's hands well. Neither of us has done pull-up in years, but found it to be easy and worth the effort with this mounted over a door frame. I can grip with just a tip-toe stance and find it easy to drop form. Hubby has to bend his knees and let his toes touch behind him, but he says it's better than the one he had some years before we met. For both of us this is great way to get a good bit of shoulder, arm and torso exercise. I like the option to hang other equipment from the included clip-rings which can be clipped to holes provided in the beefy buttressing under the bar at the wall plates. (see image) As of this writing, this pull-up bar is a fantastic value and I whole-heartedly recommend it to anyone who enjoys pull-ups. Read more

I can't believe I installed this In my house. This is obviously made for some commercial gyms, outdoor areas. The screws and bolts are industrial strength quality. I wasn't willing to put those in my walls, so I jerry-rigged some deep wood screws and washers, then drilled it into the studs in the wall over a door frame. This thing is long, so I had to do it over one big doorway. I got lucky and the studs lined up (this bar is not adjustable in width). I put it in, tested it out on myself (heaviest person in the house) for awhile then left the kids and wife try it out. This thing is really well made and a beast of equipment. Like you would not want this thing falling on you, so be sure to install it right. Super glad with this one. It truly feels like a $100 pull up bar. Read more

This is a very strong bar for chin-ups or possibly a bar for anyone needing a bar for physical therapy work. As a chin-up bar, it is designed to be attached to the wall studs on the outside of the door. This is a permanent bar and it does not attach to the inside of the door frame. It is the perfect size to the wall outside a 36" door which is a common size in a house. If using to provide some balance help, you would have to find a way to set up a strong way to hold it to the wall as it does not fit the spacing of wall studs. I had thought I could use it on my wall for support doing standing leg exercises. Since it is sold as a chin-up bar, I have to give it my recommendation as a good purchase Using the included hardware and making sure you attach it to studs, it seems like a strong support for exercising.
