I have two of these and it's definitely my favorite of my heavy-duty umbrellas. I don't consider them for travel - too heavy/bulky - but for everyday use around town they are small enough and more durable than most of the umbrellas in this class. I've been a bit disappointed in one of them; the last segment of one of the tines is broken and so the umbrella droops and is not taught at one of the ends. I'm not quite sure how it happened - so maybe it was user error - but still disappointed in that. Droopy end aside, it still works fine and is otherwise sturdy. Read more

I have not had an opportunity to use this umbrella yet but it appears to be very well made! I have problems with my hands and I can both open and close this umbrella on my own, which is not always the case! I love the color and the case that it comes it! This umbrella was SO convenient while backpacking through Thailand. It was durable and the case with clasp was extremely helpful to attach to my neck wallet while traveling. The only things that I don't like about this is the huge Hero logos on the casing, etc as I'm an anti-logo girl. I also wish the umbrella would come down a little more, but maybe that is more of an aesthetic appeal versus functionality as this umbrella was quite effective towards rain repellant. Read more
