The camera works, but the motion detection only functions through the app with Wi‑Fi enabled - it cannot simply record motion to the SD card on its own, which is what I was hoping for. That’s on me for not reading closely enough, but it does limit how useful it is. I don’t really want to connect a no‑name camera to my home Wi‑Fi, and I definitely don’t want to connect it to hotel Wi‑Fi and create an account just to get basic motion recording. I was hoping for a simple, self‑contained unit that would save clips locally. If that’s what you need, this isn’t it. It does record to the SD card, but I also don't want to wade through a bunch of non-motion or miss stuff if it gets recorded over with no-action. This little camera is well made. The picture and audio quality is excellent, and the app (O-KAM Pro) is easy to set up and use. The mount/base for the camera allows of plenty of movement and viewing angles, and it's easy to place. The viewing area of the camera itself is very wide, and covers a large area. Read more

This is a nice little camera that is quite versatile. It tiny enough to fit in the palm of your hand (see photo), but powerful enough to provide decent video. The app that goes with it allows you to zoom in and set various settings (e.g., motion detection). I've included a couple of screenshots showing the "home page" with an ad of sorts to buy cloud space and one that shows the various settings with the picture zoomed in. You can record to an SD card or you can pay to have it record to the cloud. Although 99 cents isn't much per month, I didn't try the cloud service. They bill this as a hidden camera and I guess you could hide it places that are not easy to see and you can turn off the "on" indicator (a blue LED) so there are no lights visible. This is a small 1080P HD wireless camera. It comes with a swiveling base and USB-A to USB-C cable, along with some mounting hardware. It has an internal battery which will power the camera for about 4 hours, but it will run indefinitely if the power cable is connected. There are at least three ways to use this camera. First, and simplest, is to charge the camera, plug in a 128 GB micro SD card (not included), and turn it on. It will start recording immediately and store about 12 hours of video. After 12 hours, it will wrap around and start recording over the earliest video. No app, no WiFi, no security issues. But also no advanced features, which rely on the app to function. . Second is to use the SD card, install the app and register it. You can't use the app without registering. You are then able to control the advanced features, such as human motion detection, up to 5x zoom, inversion of image, night vision, etc. The third approach is to sign up (and pay) for a cloud account. I had no interest in doing this, so I did not price it. This would give you other options in terms of saving and manipulating the video, but I did not like the idea of paying for a feature I would very rarely use. On the down side, the video sometimes seems grainy, especially at 5x zoom. I've included some photos showing the same image zoomed in and out. I had no trouble with the audio, which was pretty clear, except when the source was extremely close to the camera. Another downside is the constant urging in the app for the user to sign up for cloud storage. The app itself seems a bit glitchy to me, but part of that may be my inexperience with it. This looks like a handy and useful device that I was looking forward to testing, however after reading the very long and poorly written privacy policy, I’ve decided not to sign into the app, and without the app, the camera is useless. It’s a shame, I really wanted to test it. There were several parts of the privacy policy that concerned me, but the one that concerned me the most is “[Purpose of use] When you share or receive shared information, participate in activities,etc, we need to access your clipboard and read the passwords, sharing codes, and links contained in it …”.
