Very disappointing product. The build quality is extremely poor and feels very cheap. The video quality is also terrible and nowhere near what you would expect from a “1080p” camera. The app is full of annoying ads pushing you to buy things, which makes using it frustrating. On top of that, important features like motion tracking require activating their cloud service, so many functions are basically locked behind a subscription. I learned that I needed silent eyes in the room while I wasn't there since a new cat started investigating every shelf in my apartment that I had. I attached this little security camera to the corner of a bookshelf, linked it with the accompanying app, and have been using it ever since. I have depended on it throughout my work hours, when I was out doing errands on the weekends, and even while I was on a brief road trip. The 4K resolution was immediately noticeable; the small lines on a woven rug and the delicate twitch of the kitten's whiskers showed with a startling level of sharpness after the first sight. The sensor was able to capture information all the way into shadows, which made it easy to determine whether he was pawing a fancy vase or just chasing dust motes. I had anticipated that there might be grain or delay in low-light areas. The need for night vision became apparent far sooner than I had anticipated. During a storm that occurred the second evening, the lights in the hallway had a flickering effect while I was at dinner across town. A push notice appeared with the following message: "Motion detected—Reading Nook." When I opened the stream, I saw a black-and-white image that was lighted by invisible infrared. The vision was so vivid that I could see four nimble paws leaping from the sofa to the windowsill; it was impossible to miss. With the knowledge that the vase would remain upright, I was able to complete my dessert without having to rush back home. I was able to rewatch the film later and giggle at my cat's inexhaustible activity rather than worrying about the possibility of it breaking since the program automatically saved it to cloud storage. Don’t buy this product. Very short battery life (a few hours). Grainy video. Playback from SD is cumbersome. Setup requires your cc to be on file for possible cloud setup. It’s also very fragile and stopped working for me after 1 day. Read more
