Cool little gadget
This device locates wifi signals so you can spot hidden cameras or wifi sources. I tested it around the house - it easily located my router. It was little harder to locate active phones, but it did work. I placed the device next to my sleeping laptop and it did not go off - as soon as I activated the laptop, the device started beeping so it does pick up active wifi signals. It is failry versatile - you can look for only 2.4 ghz signals or open up the range so it looks for anything between 1 and 6 ghz. You can also turn off the beeping sound if you want to just use the lights that light up the closer you get to the source. There is an infrared feature that is supposed to let you identify inactive cameras by seeing the lens - you turn on the red light and look through a filter on the device. I couldn't test this function with a hidden camera, but it seemed like it would be difficult to spot a lens looking through such a small filter. This device charges with the included USB cable. A nifty little gaget that I will take on my next trip. Read more
