Great camera. I’ve tried a lot of cameras in different sizes and shapes, hidden in different types of items, and I just say this one is probably one of my favorites by far. Why? PROS: Several reasons: Because of how easy it is to connect on the app, because of its unique discrete camera design (OK… would I ever personally buy a photo frame that style, no. lol but in order to hide the lens and night vision lens, I get it. Solution: just put in a boring photo nobody will ask about or care to look at other than a glance and there you go.), the camera quality is great for both light and night vision. Many cameras can have delays or glitches, or obviously just bad quality, but I truly like this one. The charging and use time are great. Sometimes I forget after a day or two that it’s on, and I go to the app and yeah, it’s been on. Ha. Audio quality is also great as it’s clear when talking and… wait for it… actually matches the video. (Imagine that.), lastly, the communication from the company if you have questions was also great. I don’t recall the guys name I emailed, but he was helpful. Now to the CONS: other than the frame design itself (outside of the design for the camera), I only wish the continuous recording time was longer than 10 minutes. It will STILL record, but it’s broken up into 10 minutes clips. Nothing huge tho, there are free movie making apps out there to combine them as one. But as someone who is just getting into testing many of these types of cameras as safety is a huge concern for me having worked with seniors who may be vulnerable to break-ins, I would highly recommend this item. If you follow directions to set up is easy initially did not follow directions and just tried to figure things out and got frustrated. Set up is less than five minutes. I suggest buying a micro SD card at the same time as completing your purchase so you can have a way to record your videos, otherwise you’ll have to pay for storage. The picture quality is good. So quality is good value for the money is OK. This is not a digital picture frame or your pictures may rotate through. This is literally only one image that can be shown in the frame happy shopping. I thought this was a digital photo frame with the feature to digitally record video. However, it is not a digital photo frame. It only holds a physical photo. Charging can only be done with the photo frame removed. All controls are behind the photo and inside the photo frame itself, which could be considered a secrecy feature (the on/off controls, charging port and SD card cannot be seen). The quality of the photo frame is a little bit poor as it is all plastic with some molding imperfections. It comes with a USB adapter for a micro SD card. The appearance of the frame itself is not really cosmetically appealing and looks somewhat like an odd choice. But the design does allow for the camera and sensor to view the room through holes which appear as part of the pattern to the frame. Read more

Daylight camera quality is not bad for the internals, More than enough to be able to see and identify any nefarious intruder. Same for the night vision for the most part. I did see that night vision suffers if there is any light source that hits the camera. It seems to be very confusing to the sensors. When I was testing this out I walked past a motion night light that was not bright by any means but was more than enough to bounce the camera in and out of the day and night mode making the recording all but unusable. So I moved the night light to a different location in the area where I have set this up and it has solved most of the issues. This camera does not have a large sensor so it is going to be what it is and as I shared, If a person can be IDed that is really all that matters to me. The field and depth of view are lacking if this cam is in a larger room. In a smaller area, it does the job. I jokingly told a friend that if I wanted to ensure that I got a clear and perfect shot of an intruder, I should swap out the photo with a $100.00 bill lying in front of the frame. Now for the worst part of this, the setup. The instructions are not direct steps. After 4 attempts to set the cam up with the written instructions I jumped online using "Small-ECO Hidden Camera Picture Frame" as the search and found three or four videos with other name brands but the same internals as this unit. In the first video I watched the person was complaining about the same issue as I concerning the written instructions and said he solved it by downloading the app first and starting over disregarding the written docs. I stopped the video, downloaded the app, chose the wireless cam option (it is not the photo frame) split out a 2.4 channel on my router, connected Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth, inserted the micro SD, followed a few prompts, and was live in less than three minutes. I suggest you do the same. The app will tell you to connect to a certain device name that the written instructions demand that you not connect to that device name. If you follow the written instructions you will be frustrated when the device name that they require you to connect to, never shows up as an option. This is not a bad unit, it has its quirks and limitations. Use it in a smaller area, and make sure that for good night vision it is in the dark or make sure that the low lighting is equal across the room, don't have a table lamp on somewhere or a motion night light that will come on in the area you want to secure.
