This is a good bit of added protection for inside the home, regardless of if you have outside security or not. The design is great and it really looks like a smoke detector that would go unnoticed by an intruder. It takes some getting used to to remember to charge it after not disarming via the app. Set up was a bit wonky for me and took a good ten minutes to get it to do what it was telling me to do, but after that, it was simply ready to go.
