I purchased this so that I could setup my 2021 MacBook Pro to the left of my external monitor. Plugging in an HDMI is only possible on the right side of the 2021 MBP. This solution worked well -- my monitor popped up as it would normally do with an HDMI-to-HDMI cable. I don't notice any latency issues with the connection. It's a reliable connection and a sturdy cable. I get 60 Hz operation at 4K, as expected (see attached screenshot of my "Displays" settings from macOS). That said, if you are planning to use it with a USB-C hub, keep in mind that most pure USB-C hubs will not support a USB-C-to-HDMI cable. Some do, but many don't. With that in mind, I purchased an Afterplug Dual USB‑C Extender (as shown in the attached image) to couple this cable with the cable from my USB-C hub. I used this Highwings HDMI to USB-C adapter to connect a Pioneer Xumo TV and Mac Mini 24 through a Thunderbolt 3-4 port. It only works when the HDMI ARC port is used. Other HDMI ports aren’t detected by this connection. The table appears to be really good quality. I definitely recommend it. I would’ve given another star if it worked through all HDMI ports when connected to Thunderbolt 3-4. Read more
