15+ Years of Use for Sensitive Stomachs, Still Our Go-To
I’ve been feeding this food since 2011, starting with a dog who had a very sensitive stomach. After a lot of trial and error, this was the only food that consistently worked for him. He stayed on it for most of his life and lived to 18. He was healthy his entire life: good teeth, normal bloodwork, active, and never dealt with chronic illness or cancer. I grew up with dogs that were fed cheaper grocery store food, and both developed cancer. I’m not saying food alone determines health, but quality nutrition clearly matters. I now feed this to my two current dogs as well. I’ve tried other higher-end brands over the years, but many have had recalls or quality issues. This food has been reliable and consistent for more than a decade. The price has gone up since I first started buying it, which isn’t ideal, but I’ve still been able to find decent deals through subscriptions and sales. The only real issue I’ve had was a Black Friday order that got canceled after long delays, which was frustrating but not related to the food itself. If your dog has a sensitive stomach or skin issues and you want something proven and consistent, this is a solid choice. Small con: The price increases add up, especially for larger dogs. Read more

Top notch option for dogs with sensitive skin!
My dog, a 5 year old chihuahua x Australian Cattle Dog mix, has been exclusively eating Hills Sensitive Stomach & Skin for the past three years. We absolutely love it - when I adopted her, she had extremely itchy, flaky skin with small thinning areas from her itching. Just a few weeks after switching to this food I noticed a drastic improvement in her coat quality and overall comfort. Now, she is soft and her coat is shiny! She looks forward to breakfast and dinner every day, so it must taste great. With this food we’ve been able to maintain and healthy weight and keep her satiated. She has healthy, regular bowel movements and has had no issues with this food. For the price, and the peace of mind I get feeding her this food, we will never go back! Well worth every penny.
