UPDATE: The seller contacted me and apologized, explained that this is not the quality of their products normally, and offered a refund. I would recommend them for their customer service, and it seems based on other reviews I might have just gotten a bad one. I’m hopeful that they will follow through with the refund. I was extremely disappointed with this purchase. I bought this as a gift, and the buckle would NOT hold. We tried everything, but it just kept slipping out of the buckle. I didn’t buy early, it arrived the day I needed to give the gift. So I cut it to fit, tried the buckle that came with it for at least a half hour (probably longer), and finally I just took the buckle off an older ratchet belt that my dad already had and it ended up working. I did contact Amazon, and they gave me the option to return the entire belt. However, since it was a gift and we had already thrown away the old belt, I just decided to keep it. I was really hoping I would be able to return just the buckle and get a replacement, but that wasn’t an option. I did ask specifically if I could do this, but they would not allow it. Usually Amazon is great about returns for defective products, and I can kind of understand them not allowing me to return just the buckle, but it was frustrating because of the circumstances. The belt itself is fine, but I’m not going to say that I would recommend it because if you don’t have another buckle that you can use, it would have to be returned. Please note, it is possible that this was just a faulty buckle, but I can’t say if it was just the one I got or if they are all this way since I wasn’t able to get a replacement. For now, my recommendation would be to look for a different brand. Read more
