I got these so I could wear my large wrist brace, which I need in order to cook, clean, etc. Yes my friend who works with veterinarians laughed her head off. But she admitted it worked brilliantly. I found these of good length with room for extra width; but even so the hands were not too big! The hands fit me very well and I had almost no awkwardness doing things with it on. The material was far more substantial than I expected. It was thick enough to sturdy but thin enough to flexible, good fitting hand, and it has a slight texture so I wasn't dropping stuff. Water resistance was substantial and length of sleeve and elastic garter kept it all dry. I expected to maybe get one use out of a pair but after serious lengthy hard scrubbing with steel wool on two very large grid racks, its still great. I took it off and on during my chores with no problem and Im going to use same one tomorrow. Highly recommend for anyone needing such water and mess resistant gloves, especially over arm hardware. These are great for keeping water from running down your arms if you are cleaning up high. However, I would not use them to protect from toxic or irritating chemicals, as they seem to be somewhat porous as my hands did get wet after ringing out a sponge in a bucket repeatedly. I had recently unknowingly came in contact with poison ivy while doing yard work. These gloves worked great. I was able to cover my lower arms and the elastic cuffs kept the gauntlets up without slipping. I was even able to put on work gloves over them. The gloves held up while I worked without tearing.
