I got this heater to replace one that I had for several years in a 75 gallon freshwater tank. I received it quickly and it works as described. It installed quickly and easily. The suction cups on the back seem like they'll hold up pretty well. I like that you can control the settings without reaching inside the aquarium and that it shows the water temperature as well. I've had this for a couple of days and so far it is working well. I haven't noticed any issues. I will come back and update this if I do within the next month or so. The only thing that would make this better would be to include some sort of holder that could attach to the outside of the aquarium for the controller. This is a necessity for fish tanks. It's so easy to use, it's digital so you don't have to guess with the stickers on the glass, I love how long the plug is so I'm able to hide it behind the tank, this heats up my tank so quickly, and it's been used for 2 years now- I bought another tank and ended up buying this item to use for that tank too. Great heater for big tanks — works like a charm! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️☆ I got this HiTauing 500W heater for my 90-gallon tank, and it’s been doing a great job so far. It heats the water quickly and keeps the temp super steady, which my fish definitely appreciate. The digital display is really handy—easy to read, and I like that it shows both the current temp and the one you’ve set. Setting the temp is simple, though you do have to reach into the tank to do it since there’s no external controller. Not a huge deal, but worth noting. It feels safe too. It has auto shut-off and overheat protection, which is nice for peace of mind. I actually tested the safety shut-off by pulling it out of water for a second (carefully), and it turned off like it’s supposed to. The suction cups hold pretty well for now, though like all of them, they might need adjusting over time. The 8-foot cord is awesome—plenty long even if your outlet isn’t right next to your tank. It’s a little bulky, but honestly, for a 500W heater, that’s expected. It’s hidden behind some plants, so I don’t mind. Bottom line: If you’ve got a 75-120 gallon tank and want a solid, no-fuss heater that does its job, this is a great pick. Would definitely recommend! Read more
Purchased a total of 4 of these. Had a problem with 2 and contacted the company--a year later but within their 2 year warranty. Didn't really expect to get helped after so much time. The 2 malfunctioning heaters would come up to temp and then start blinking an HH error code. The company was excellent to work with and was very professional and helpful. They are sending out 2 replacement heaters as I write. The other 2 heaters have been working great and I would definitely buy again with such superb customer service. Read more
Not sure what others have experienced with all the positive reviews but here goes. Installed the heater as a secondary heater for a large tank. The temp was obviously low and the heater did a great job catching up and normalizing the temperature in the tank. It had an obnoxious high piercing whine while leveling up to the desired temperature which I was ok with. The downside is if the temperature drops even 1 degree that high pitched whine starts up again. COMPLETELY ANNOYING!!! I'm ok with a warning signal if tank temp drops to maybe 4 degrees below the expected range but 1 degree? Seriously?!? I'll give it a day to see if anything changes but if not, shipping this back. Works great for 125 gallon tank. Love the thermostat on it. Not super long but long enough to spread out the heat. Seems to be a lot sturdier than other heaters. LOVE IT Read more
