This is a really good heater for my 25 gallon reef tank. It maintains the temperature which is that l really important in a reef tank with fish. I’ve been using the HiTauing submersible heater in my 75, 125, and two 10 gallon freshwater tanks for a few weeks now, and I’m really happy with how steady it keeps the water temperature. The dual temperature control works great — I can toggle between °C and °F easily, and the LED display is bright and clear. One of the best things is the safety features: there’s a water sensor that shuts the heater off if it’s not fully submerged, and it also cuts out if it overheats, which gives me peace of mind when I’m away. Love the build of the unit, it seems to be durable and well constructed. Impressive feature for automatic shut down when taken out of the water. Also like that there is no real possibility of damaging the glass or the element but knocking it on something. The only thing detracting from a 5 star rating is the temperature calibration is not accurate. I have set it to Celsius and try to keep my tank at 28°C. To do that i need to set the unit to 30°C. To confirm this, I have three thermometers located around the tank that all give exactly the same reading. Two are glass mercury thermometers and one is a digital thermometer. The good thing is that although the heater's thermostat is off by a few degrees, it is consistent. It does not fluctuate. Read more
