Hiwise Mens Ripstop Tactical Pants Water Resistant Stretch Cargo Pants Lightweight EDC Hiking Work Pants

I bought 2 pair for my husband for work. He is a machine maintenance mechanic. Jeans were heavy, bulky and cumbersome. He wanted something light and stretchy. The waist band is elastic and has a lot of give, making it easier for him too maneuver around. On top of that, they are water-resistant and have plenty of pockets. These pants look very nice on him, he can wear them to a casual event with a nice polo and nice shoes and they look better than jeans. I want to buy more but the 45% off deal is gone. I regret not buying more. I should have bought a few more but I wasn't sure how much he'd end up wearing them. They have beige his favorite work pants and now um doing laundry more often so he can have them for work. Ugh, they are $40 now. I tried to find another brand similar but wasn't successful. I ordered these pants true to my jean size and they fit perfectly! The Ripstop material is well constructed and holds up nicely when I wear these pants for anything from training to outdoor work. They come clean in the wash every time without issue. The pants themselves are comfortable to wear in terms of tac pants, the fabric is pretty much the perfect thickness in my opinion. I bought these for my husband. Overall, he likes them, but they're too big in the waist, even with the elastic in the back. We chose the size based on the chart and they should have fit, but maybe they run large. That's the only reason I subtracted a star. Other than the fit being off, they're well-made and the length was perfect. I returned them and ordered another pair one waist size down, and they fit perfectly. Don't know whether the first pair was off in size, or whether these pants tend to run large. Whatever the case, the smaller waist size fits perfectly. I really like the overall design of these pants. They don't feel very durable but they look and feel nice and the pockets are really convenient and in good positions. The problem is in the rear. These pants aren't really slim fitting, but in the butt they are. I'm a 43w and got a size 42 because the inseam is right and it can stretch. It doesn't stretch enough though and it feels like a 42 after stretching. So then I got an 44 even though the inseam was too long. It fit better but the underlying problem with the fit was still there. If you've got an above average sized butt either because you work out or are over weight then these are too tight in the rear and this will cause them to sag as you walk. Read more

These pants are made of comfortable material and the ripstop and stretchiness characteristics make them vary durable. They have several very useful and deep pockets. The zipper pockets and front pockets are deep and will fit an average smart phone and wallet making them great for securing these things while travelling (i.e. many tourist destinations warn of pickpockets). I did find that the waist was a bit large, so I ordered a size smaller. My pants tend to ride lower below my bellybutton because of a bit of a gut. Most of my pants are now a 40 waist, but a 38 waist worked best for me with these pants. They have a nice stretch waist band in the back which helps to keep the pants snug around my waist where the pants naturally want to ride; I still need a belt though. I am very impressed with these pants; so much so that I now have 5 pair for casual wear and travel. Travel was my primary reason for getting them. Read more
