HOC Womens Vine Embroidered Shawl Collar Chenille Robe

I bought it after a long search trying to find a bathrobe that did not have formaldehyde or other bad chemicals they are using in many clothes today. Buyer beware. This one seems to not have bad chemicals although I did not see any advertisement about that issue, but it is 70% cotton and 30% polyester (Not microfiber I believe). It came from Pakistan. I paid the extra dollar shipping, and it got here in six days by Fed Ex I was concerned about it being warm enough since cotton tends to be cooler that polyester. The polyester helps make it warmer. I found it to be warm, light weight and very comfortable to wear. Very easy to roll up the sleeve for light housework. It is not bulky like plush polyester microfiber bathrobes. Not as warm as them either. Yet it has a plush fluffy quality which makes it warmer that a shag cotton bathrobe of 100% cotton. Some of the reviews stated how it leached fuzz. I washed mine in cold water and it came out splendidly. I did not dry it in the dryer, and it came out fluffy. No lint noted except for a few stray pieces. I bought the pink, and it is very pretty ad seems like good quality. The cut is flattering, and the neckline helps to slim out the waste line. It is cut very full above, so it gives a nice scrunch at the waste. My waist is 33 inches, so I bought a large. The length is just right about 1-2 inches above the ankle, with me being 5'2". This is indeed a real chenille robe! It's beautiful, nicely made, thick, and cozy. I first bought the green (pink was out of stock) and loved it & immediately bought the pink as well when it was back in stock. Yes, I plan to keep both, they're both just plain lovely. The robes are a perfect weight for cooler climates. I live in a warmer climate, but when we get a cold front here it is indeed freeeezing! This robe is so pretty. Chenille is expensive so these are a bargain. I wish it had more decorations but for the price it’s fantastic. I’m 5’3 and I weigh 149. It comes down to my ankles and the sleeve length is that it covers my palms I got a 2X although I think a large would fit. I like my robe to be oversized so I can snuggle inside it on a cold day. This robe is nice. The care instructions on the garment tag specify to wash in cold wayer before wearing. It should be washed separately from any other items or it will get fuzz all over everything it’s washed with. Read more
