Do not order this gift card. I thought it was a regular 50.00 Amazon card but after I ordered it I realized it was for a specific company “ Home Chef”. I thought I was ordering a normal gift card. I immediately tried to cancel ( within 2 minutes) and yet Amazon would not allow it. The rep I spoke to was quite snippy. I am disputing this with my Credit Card Company. When I searched for a gift card I just wrote for an Anniversary. I did not mention I wanted a food service delivery at all. The card popped up and it looked nice but I did not see in the corner it was Home Chef. This was very misleading! . Do not make the same mistake that I did ! I am very unhappy with Amazon and Home Chef. It hadn’t posted yet but they say they can’t cancel it. Ut isn’t scheduled for delivery until December 4 . I ordered it the early morning hours of December 3 ( 1:45am). That should have been cancelled . This is not right! Read more

Home Chef does not treat gift card as cash. They do not allow you to use ANY promo code once you activate gift card. I had a promo code for 50 percent off first 4 boxes. First, You can not utilize gift card AT ALL until you enter your own credit card. Even though I had a $200 gift card, I could not use it until I entered my own credit card. I spoke to a customer service rep who stated I could use promo code if I entered my credit card first and then entered my gift card. Thank was not the case. I called Home Chef again and after they then said it is not possible to use a promo code when using a gift card as payment. I said I think this is not fair, but accept that this is the policy of Home Chef. I did explain that I would not have entered the gift card on my account had I Known I could not use gift card. I asked for the $200 to be reloaded onto gift card. They refused. I asked them to cancel my account and send me a new gift card. They refused. I do not want to use the service, but my family member did pay $200 for the gift card. I want to be able to return the card to the person who gave it to me. Home Chef refused to honor the promo code and refused to reload the gift card. They basically said too bad for you. I activated with assurances of their rep that I can use promo code. That was not true. Now I can not even give the card to someone else to use. I heard the food was okay, but based on my interaction, I would advise against using them. Read more
