This light works well as a bedside reading light. The focus and color temperature is fine. My only issue is that the lowest of the 3 brightness settings is a bit too bright for me. I would prefer a 4th lower brightness setting. This is not a deal breaker, however. Read more

The focus is pretty narrow and intense even when turned down. I read a lot in bed for 15 minutes to two hours before I fall sleep. I did in college and medical school and later in law school and studying for the bar. Now I am 76 and must use a walker to get to the bathroom, occasionally at night, so the bed light must stay on. I don’t like its small intense focused light near my eyes when I am sleeping. I have now bought a more gentle diffuse light that turns down more and I really like it. This light is perfect for people with macular degeneration and other causes of need for intense light on books and computers and printouts with small print. Not for me. I should have returned it to Amazon quickly. I no longer have the right box. Read more
