I am not using it under the chair but just as a carpet protection from pets so I can not attest to the durability and thickness endurance. It works great for my purpose. It had zero smells which is to me paramount and it was clear to show the carpet. I am very happy with the purchase. those things come rolled in the box so I learned a trick to first rolll them backwards so it helps to flatten and if I need to speed up the process heat from a hair dryer provides instant result however I don't liket to warm plastics if no need. Its very thin product looks like that indoor outdoor cheap commercial grade carpet. Lays flat on the floor and I didn’t have to iron it. Also has a thin film on the backside that can be removed to prevent any sliding. It should hold up with the light use at home office. I got the light brown color trying to match the pine wood floors. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of this rug! The carpet is great quality, and my chair rolls on it smoothly. But I think the best part is the fact that the entire bottom of it is sticky so when you place it on the floor, it doesn't budge! 5 stars for me! Read more
