Where have these been all my life?
I've always struggled to maintain the proper number of microfiber towels in my garage. I've bought many traditional ones over the years and they're very high maintenance. You have to wash them with special detergent, you can't EVER drop them lest they pick up every leaf and spec of dirt within a meter. Oh and that stuff never comes out, BUT I STILL TRY because they're not cheap and it's a waste to throw them away. Then I found the wonder and glory of a WHOLE FREAKING ROLL of microfiber towels! Oh what a magical world we live in! These towels are GLORIOUS. They tear off easily and work for everything you'd use any other microfiber towel for. Wipe down your car, clean your brakes, wash your countertop, clean your glasses, get fingerprints off your computer monitor, the possibilities are endless! Now they're not the super silky smooth type of microfiber, but they work just as good, if not better, than the kind you might get with a new pair of glasses. Also - they're washable! So if you use some to soak up fuel or oil or whatever, just clean them and set them aside for future 'dirty work'. The best way to clean them is to fill a sink with warm water and some Dawn liquid soap. Put all your gross dirty oily towels in the soapy water, get them all soaked, and let them sit for an hour. Next, drain the water and squeeze the towels (do not twist) to get the bad stuff out. You'll probably have to run the clean water over them as you squeeze to get all the dirt out. Once you have all the major oils and dirt out, put them in your washing machine but make sure to use microfiber specific detergent. If you use regular clothing detergent, they'll lose their microfiber-ness and then just be normal towels. Now you keep your fresh roll of towels for delicate stuff and re-use the stained one for dirty stuff! But you know what the coolest thing is? I can accidentally drop one on the ground where it can pick up all sorts of dirt and leaves and I don't have to pick all that stuff out!
