SO happy that I read enough reviews and really took the time to listen to what other people said in their reviews and then look over for myself the product. And what a wonderful product this is! True, they are small Ish, but large enough to show a 4D type of realistic flickering flame that I have not seen before. You cannot tell that it is not a real flame inside, that is why the cover is semi transparent white frosted that is pleasing. They are very lightweight and have a rope handle to it. If you don’t want the handle, you can simply clip it off or as I’ve done just swing it in back of the lantern for a standalone effect. I ordered two of these, and I intend to order more as they appear to be very durable & a good value for the price. One of the best selling points is the fact that although they’re solar they have a charging cord that comes with them. I simply plug it in before I go to sleep & in the morning they’re recharged. They came charged already and I have not had to recharge them yet and it’s been several days. However, that does not mean that I leave them running all day. You can spend a lot more than I did on these and get a far less quality and eye catching product. I also really appreciate the fact that the sellers enclose a little thank you card from their business and also pleasantly found out through reading that, there is a two year warranty on these, which is exceptional, and I wish that the company would list that in their description of the product as it would undoubtedly mean more sales for them if people knew that upfront. This knowledge was just an exceptional benefit for me. I am happy as I said that they are small because I have a smaller balcony. If I was lucky enough like some readers to have a larger actual yard with a pool, these would look stunning placed around the perimeter of the pool with a flickering effect. Also to be hanging from a patio cover. For safety, it’s great to know that they are plastic while looking like frosted glass. I left them on for 7 hours after charging them and they stayed completely lit. No fading like those dollar tree cheap ones. It's not good to drain the battery completely so I shut them off. I dont know how long they wouldve kept lit. I was skeptical because I thought they were pricey. But they are really gorgeous. I dont know if they'll get the same charge from the sun, but I wont be using them like that and they suit my perpose perfectly. Ill be hanging them off my kayak at sunrise and sunset to be more visible to bigger boats and hopefully won't get run over. They are really esthetically charming and the flame is very realistic through the frosted plastic and the rope just adds to its rustic charm. Could probably crack if dropped because they are plastic. I'm very pleased and might buy another set for my friends kayak. Revised: I almost returned them because they wouldn't go back on after being fully charged. Then I remembered it's because they're solar and low light activated *dingdong*. Just cover the top of it with your hand to block the solar panel and they immediately activate when switched on with button on side. Im so glad I realized that thinking I got duds. After trying at least 15-20 brands, types, and styles, this is the BEST solar flame lantern around, hands down. At almost $15 a pop they may seem a little spendy, but from everything I'm seeing from these, they'll be worth the money for sure. They're fairly bright given the orange light, and BY FAR the most realistic oil lamp effect I've ever seen...we're talking Disney competition. They are a great size for hanging from the patio, using as a table centerpiece as we did, or holding as a costume accessory. The fact that it can be charged via USB-C or sun, as well as being able to get a decent charge in indirect sunlight has made these lanterns a godsend doing themed events in the Pacific Northwest. Their durability-to-style ratio is also unmatched, having had them fall from a few pop-ups, taken a few bounces on concrete, and were able to resist scratches, cracks, and have no performance issues whatsoever. I've now used them in 100 degree heat, and cold/rainy temps with no problems for a few months now, and have been so happy with them I bought two more sets. My one complaint is that after a rain, there is slight water retention on the solar panel that will just pool if left alone, which I imagine will cause damage within a year, but I love them enough I'm willing to take the risk and see. Not only did they attract attention to my booth, but about a dozen people asked where I could where they could buy them.
