I opted for the 3-6M size and I'm glad I did since the snaps are a little tricky and the short sleeve shirt would absolutely never go over a newborns head. Everything is very soft, but you will need to cut tags out of a few of the items otherwise they will likely irritate baby's skin. HonestBaby makes great baby clothes - they're 100% organic cotton so you can trust you're putting no harsh chemicals or artificial fabrics on your baby's sensitive skin - and beyond that, the clothes are super soft and well-made, so baby is comfortable and will certainly outgrow the clothes before they wear them out (meaning they also make great hand-me-downs for future kiddos or to helpfully pass on to friends). This 15 piece "welcome home" gift set would make a great gift - or to buy for your own little one - as it has just about everything you could want, regardless of the season your little on comes home in. You get long and short sleave onsies, pants with and with and without footies, burp clothes, mittens and more. It's a great set regardless of which color you choose - while parents may not want to pigeonhole their children genderwise so early, it does seem that the color sets are meant red for girls and green for boys - we certainly went with the red/pink/peach for our little girl. Wow this is a wonderful set! I got it for my new grand-nephew who I watch once a week. I got the 3-6 months set to give him room to grow (he is 3 months and they fit but definitely have more room). I also got the white to allow his parents the most versatility - though I think the prints are very good looking and definitely not too "girl" or too "boy" as the pink set has red and peach and white, and the sage set has greens and blues and white. I love that this set is so complete: it comes with: 1 long sleeved onesie, 2 short sleeved onesies, 1 long sleeved shirt, 1 short sleeved tee, a pair of pants, 1 pair of footie pants, burp cloths, receiving blankets, mittens, and a cap. This basically covers everything a baby needs and is nicely versatile and easily mix and match. I also love the quality- every piece is made of organic cotton, and super soft (especially after washing). These are not cheap thin pieces that will wear through quickly - they are a lovely thick soft cotton. Bottom Line: A well made, very soft, complete and versatile set for any new baby. 10 stars! This is a really great set, especially for people having their first baby. The large set includes full outfits but also great pieces to mix and match We have been fans of HonestBaby products for a long time and appreciate the quality products and the 100% cotton materials. They are always soft and comfortable. The colors are great and have enough variety that they look great all in one color or grabbing whichever is clean. It is also nice when little one's soil part of an outfit and you need to change just one part.
