My product arrived package intact nothing broken. This is the second time I have bought the honey can do collapsible clothes drying rack. The first time it gave out after working for about 4 years. Nothing was rusted but the plastic on the ends of the poles broke and it would not stay together. At no point did any of the metal have any rust. It goes together fairly well so yes there is some assembly required. My instructions are lay both sides out full length and the three main rows going up . Then attach first attach across the top and then work your way back down. Fairly easy took me about 5 minutes. If the honey can do laundry back is for sale when this one breaks and 3 to 5 years I will buy number three! The length is wide and fixed no sliding , no rust ,no falling apart. These do not come even remotely assembled. They're not hard to put together, but I wasn't expecting quite as much assembly as I was assigned. Easily foldable, has enough resistance to be sturdy, but easy enough that it doesn't take a ton of work, either. Very functional; does what is expected of it. All pieces came properly powder coated with not cracks or gaps that will lead to rust. Holds plenty of clothes; wife and I both wear a lot of "hang dry only" type clothes for work, so we bought 2. One of them had an arm break off while I was unfolding it to use it about 2 weeks ago (~3 months ago). IDK if I was too forceful or if it's something that will continue. It lasted for a couple years for my college years and then started falling apart. The plastic connectors are quite weak and just trying to put them in their right place they like to pop off. While it did work, it did have a a high capacity and did fold up nicely to be stored next to my dorm bed. It could be a good college dorm investment but I din’t think it will last you past that.
