On hard floors it glides smoothly and scoops up the fine dust you can’t see along with the larger bits. Dropped cereal, macaroni, and the classic post snack cracker crumbs. On carpet it does a solid job lifting surface dirt and the never ending strands of my wife's hair. The anti tangle brush has actually saved me from the dreaded scissor surgery I'm used to. Long hair wraps far less than my other vac and when a strand does catch, it’s easy to free without dismantling half the head. Recharging is straightforward, just hang it on the included wall mount and let it do its thing. Maintenance is pretty painless. The dustbin opens with the push of a button, and a quick tap clears it out. Filters are easy to access, and giving them a periodic rinse keeps suction consistent. The head swivels nicely around table legs and under chairs, and the vacuum’s weight is light enough that my kids can carry it around safely. If you’re juggling pets, kids, and a floor that somehow re-crumbifies itself daily, this vac hits a sweet spot. Strong everyday cleaning, minimal fuss, and the adjustable wand that makes it friendly for shorter and taller users alike. It’s the first vacuum I don’t have to ask the kids to use. The dustbin could be larger if you’re doing a deep clean of a big, hairy household. Not a replacement for a full size corded vacuum on deep, plush carpets. You’ll want to rinse the filter regularly to keep suction at its best. Bottom line: A practical, family friendly stick vac that lowers the barrier to daily cleanups. Excellent vac for carpet/hard wood floors with dog hair For hard wood floors, you can disengage the brush to protect floors and increase suction to high. For carpet, you have suction controls as well as engaging the rotary brush. Again manipulating the suction control for picking up dog hair, yes, all that dog hair. These controls assist in cleaning different levels of carpet pile. I wanted to give this broom vac a 5 and the comfort of the handle you use to move the vac over the floor surfaces, is not ergonomic. It puts pressure on your hand where your fore finger pushes a hand joint is. Using a leather glove on the hand I use, makes the experience worth the functionality of the vac. Read more
