This is the best lamp I’ve owned, and it’s not even close. I’ve only had it since this afternoon, so we will see how it holds up, but the build quality seems impeccable. The brightness knob has a satisfying click between off and on (at minimum brightness), and turns very smoothly to any level up to the maximum. The quality of the light that is emitted seems great, and the color is a touch warmer than I expected, which is strictly a positive thing, since it makes the light feel less clinical. If you need a lot of light, or you want high quality light (for artists or reviewing printed photos), look no further. This can transform your room. Read more

It’s like bringing the sun indoors. Harsh on my eyes at full blast, but that’s brighter than I usually use. Well built, appears to be scratch resistant. Wobbly but instructions say to place it where it won’t get knocked down. Not a problem for me. Great office light. Quality product. Only knocking a star off because the unit I got was clearly “used in like new” condition. Everything opened and someone’s long hair stuck to it. I purchased this lamp during Prime Day, and while it looks great overall, I noticed a small scratch after fully assembling it. The lamp is very heavy, and returning it would be extremely inconvenient. To make things worse, I saw the price dropped by $33 right after Prime Day. I reached out to Amazon to see if they could offer a partial refund or a price adjustment, but they said the only two options were to return or request a replacement. Neither is practical for such a large and heavy item that we've already assembled. I was hoping for a simple solution, like a small discount or partial refund to account for the scratch and price drop, but Amazon wasn't willing to help. My near sight has deteriorated and as a “voracious reader”, I found books with small print were getting hard to read. I had three options: 1) go digital with audio books and kindle; 2) buy reading glasses; 3) get a good lamp. I downloaded audio books, but only listen when on a walk or drive, can’t with kindle, I like the feel of a real book, glasses are annoying, so lamp it was. After trying another brand, I decided to try this Honeywell, although pricey. For some confusing reason, when I called Honeywell, they gave me misleading information, that the product was no longer available. I nevertheless wrote to the seller and received prompt and informative responses. I went ahead and purchased, and couldn’t be happier. Back to reading real books with a vengeance! Read more
