Don't confuse 62khm for 62 MILES PER HOUR, however it does work out to about 40mph, and I don't doubt it. Luckily the controller is fully adjustable, because you can limit your speed to help you control it better. When mine arrived I noticed, as did some others that the front wheels were set uneven or misaligned. There are holes in the tie rod/steering links for adjustment. One person stated that they did not have enough travel to straighten it out, but you must first set the furthest then set the other to that. We've had this RC Truck for just over a week now... wanted to wait to write a review until we had a chance to run it. I will say we have had several Hosim RC cars/trucks over the past 5 years... for the money, Hosim might be the best deal/quality out there. These are close to hobby grade but at a third of the price. The X16 model is no different after several days of high-speed runs through our neighborhood; this has held up and performs great. It's fast.... but one thing my son and I really like about this model is how controlled the take-off speed is. Most high-speed RC cars jump so fast when you pull the trigger that they flip or lose direction control when the front wheels immediately pop off the ground. This one has a much better controlled take off and very quickly accelerates into top speed.. This RC vehicle also comes with the optional (install yourself) Wheelie Bar... I still recommend putting this on when you first get the RC car out. It comes with two 1500 mAh batteries, and we get at least 20 minutes+ run time out of each battery. You also get some tools, extra body clips, and wheel hubs. The front bumper has a cool LED light bar, but ours came unplugged, so you may need to find the wire and connect it for the light bar to work. This has good, balanced construction and handles/turns very good. The Trigger controller (our preferred style) has adjustments for the turning radius and speed control... This is nice for beginners, so you can reduce the max speeds until you get more comfortable running it at higher speeds. Size-wise, this is marketed as a 1:10 scale, but I feel it's just slightly smaller than that and closer to 1:12 scale... The one thing I do not like is the location of the power on/off button on the RC car itself. I feel this is in an odd position and only accessible by removing the body shell. Most of our other RC cars/trucks, the power button is on the side or in a spot you can toggle on/off without removing the shell. Minor issue, but something I would change if I could. One other thing is I think the shocks on this are spring-loaded (not oil-filled). I have found the oil-filled shocks work better/last longer, and this is one other thing i would change. Some of the parts on this have been upgraded to metal vs. plastic on older models. This should help with long-term durability. Another nice thing about Hosim & Amazon is that they have lots of parts available to fix/repair on your own if needed to keep your RC running. We have several 4-5 year old RC cars from Hosim that (because I can find parts on Hosim's site and Amazon) we've been able to get running in top form. overall i would give this RC an 8.5 out of 10 and for the price you really can't beat it. This truck is great and drives very nice, the speed is just right not to fast or to slow. the only two things I had trouble with was one of the front shocks broke my second time driving it. The other was the motor, it got burnt out. It was all my fault for using a too powerful battery. That's not why I ended up returning it, I returned it because I couldn't find a single replacement motor for the car. other than a brushless motor that required me to spend more to also get a brushless ECS. Over all its a great truck and worth buying but cant find much spare parts if broken. Read more

Truck is quick and my son enjoys running it. It is a little smaller than advertised. Charged easily and controls and handles well. Bad: Do not recommend buying. In normal usage in our grass and street we have broken two sets of differentials. The first lasted around eight hours, the second less than one. While he enjoyed disassembly and changing them and reassembling, the immediate failures are unacceptable. Read more

This is my 5th Hosim so far and I have not been disappointed. Although I’m an experienced rc driver, this is a beginner friendly 2s capable rc. It’s not as high quality as some brand name cars, but it’s pretty durable and well worth the money. The shafts and axles are plastic,but beefy. The gears are metal. I was able to jump ramps without breaking anything. The car is brushless and comes with a 45 amp esc. The box claims it goes 62kph, which is about 38.5 mph. The small area I ran it on, I was able to only get about 28mph. I guess it depends on the terrain you run it on. It’s pretty fast, however, you can adjust the throttle on the remote to run it slower for less experienced drivers. The shocks are friction shocks, not oil shocks. You can however get oil shocks if you want for about $20. The car comes with everything you need to run it out the box. You just need the batteries for the remote. It comes with batteries, charger, an accessory pack that includes a wheelie bar, wheel nuts, hubs, tools and body clips. The tires are not as grippy but runs well on grass, pavement, and dirt.
