These nozzles are a big step up from the flimsy ones that came with my plastic welder. They’re thicker, heavier, and just feel like better quality metal overall. They clamp down tight, stay put once set, and really help direct heat exactly where I want it. I’ve used them for heating stainless mesh into plastic, smoothing surfaces, and even some smaller wiring projects (shrink tubing in a tight space), and they’ve held up great without overheating the area around it. I like that they’re versatile too, not just for one-off plastic repairs. They help me get smoother finishes and better waves on projects, which is something I struggled with using the stock tips. One small thing- edges are a little rough out of the box, so I could see polishing them down for an even cleaner result, but that’s nitpicking. Overall, these are reliable, easy to work with, and definitely worth having around if you’re doing any kind of plastic repair with a hot air welder or heat gun. First impressions are very good. these are much thicker metal than the ones that came with my plastic welder and a lot heavier so seem to be a better grade of metal also. The fit is perfect and with an screw clamp for tightening, these wont move after you set them. They worked perfectly for heating parts when adding stainless steel mesh into a repair, used a putty knife to smooth the mesh in and these provided heat right where I wanted it. These are a great way to get a more focused flo from your heat gun. I use them to do shrink tubing on wires in a wiring closet. These keep the heat level down in the closet, and make sure I only shrink the tubing I want, not the ones right next to it. Love em! Read more
