As a hairdresser, I have used several dryers. This is the best one I’ve used on a budget. It’s lightweight, the heat is good at its highest setting and perfect at the lowest. It’s easy to clean and can take a beating. Read more

This dryer costs more than many, but it delivers what it promises. It is a real ceramic dryer, so it will be heavier. That is the nature of the beast. However, not so much you won't enjoy using it. We're talking a few ounces. The heat is great and dries the hair quickly, yet absent carelessness you won't damage your hair in the process. Drying other things, say splashed water on your shirt, is equally fast. The buttons are sliders and a more focused effort is required to operate, but then you aren't accidentally turning the high heat on when you want a cooler heat and you won't turn it on and off as you move the dryer in your hand. Great product. Well worth the money. Read more

I have afro, tightly coiled hair(the size of a pen tip), thick, natural, 5 inch hair and since my hair has gotten longer, I need to use heat to dry it faster. I decided after researching, that this was the best dryer for my money. I wanted a dryer with these attachments and of ionic or titanium technology. This dryer dries very quickly. I did a blow out on towel dried hair on medium heat, high speed in 10 min! My hair was also shiny afterwards. It may sound weird, but whenever I used this dryer, my hair is much softer than it usually is with out it or airdried. I don't ever use the high setting, and the medium setting does just fine. My only complaints are the side switches, as one reviewer noted, can be easily changed during use. I try to place my thumb between the switches to avoid this. Also, it can get a bit heavy if you have extended use, so luckily it only took 10 min to dry my entire head. Read more

I love this blow dryer. It is light so does not wear me out using it. Heats up really quick. Not as noisy as a lot of dryers are. Looks like it is a good quality. Had another one for years and decided to buy the same one again. Very quick delivery. Read more

This blow dryer has been a major disappointment for me. I normally love hot tools products and rarely ever write a bad review but each time I use this dryer I get so angry that it's led me to complain. It worked okay for maybe a month and then out of nowhere the hot air would switch to cold for a 30 seconds at a time (without me pressing the cool shot). This is extremely infuriating when you're trying to blow dry your hair in a hurry. Today was the day it finally just stopped working altogether on me. I'll probably go back to purchasing a revlon dryer since it has served me much better than this. Read more

I would give this dryer 4 stars however I only had the dryer for 3 months and it stopped blowing hot air so basically it is no good for my needs because I cannot dry my hair with cold air. I will say for the first few months the dryer worked well. I'm biracial black and white so my hair tends to be frizzy and bushy and needs a lot of heat to get it to the point were it is manageable to straighten the drier dried my hair fast, evenly and my hair didn't feel really dry or burnt my hair felt soft and conditioned, but after 3 months it stopped working. I'm really frustrated because now I have to spend another $30.00 to buy another dryer this becomes expensive. My last dryer which was not a Hot Tools dryer lasted 3 plus years. Would I buy another dryer from Hot Tools probably NOT. Would I recommend this product not unless you are willing to take a risk. Read more
