On the older (non-lithium battery) version of these, one of my batteries was dying, and the other was getting close. While I could have still gotten replacement batteries for less than this, the new version provides several benefits. While downhill skiing, at least once a day, and usually multiple times a day, the cord would disconnect from the battery. Cold feet ensued, and I often had to increase the heat to warm my foot. This new version does not have that drawback. The cord always stays firmly connected to the battery. Also, on cold days, I often had to turn the battery to setting #3. Unfortunately, that sometimes depleted the battery, as that setting didn't last long enough. The bluetooth version fixes this as setting #3 lasts all day (7-10 hours). Plus, the heating element on the newer version is larger, and I'm less apt to need the higher settings. The bluetooth connection and the app are a bonus. It makes it much easier to change levels. The one drawback is that it doesn't appear possible to set the heat level independently for each foot. So far, this has not been an issue. Also, the app provides access to half settings (off, 1, 1.5, 2, 2.5, 3, 4), so you can fine tune the setting. Yes, they are expensive. I ski a lot, and get cold feet. These solve several issues with the previous generation, and are a nice improvement. While I could have purchased replacement batteries for the old system cheaper, I probably wouldn't be able to next time. So I bit the bullet and bought them now, and I'm happy. Read more

I'm small and get cold really easy. Especially my feet and more so while skiing. I've been using these warmers for many years! These have bluetooth so I can connect the batteries to my phone. Makes it easy to control the heat levels vs pulling up the legs on my ski pants and messing with the battery buttons directly. Big fan of these and have been using them for over 20 years. Expensive, but worth every penny if you believe in being comfortable and happy. Oh, and I installed these myself (I'm a woman in my 60's). The hardest part was getting the liner out of the plastic ski boot shell. Read more

After demanding $422 for the kit, hotronic leaves out the main usb charging brick! I had hotronic in the past and trusted they would supply a complete kit like in the past. Very disappointed. Read more

I have not been able to ski without disposable toe warmer packs for decades. I finally spent the money on this product and it is awesome. I use it on high for 7 hour ski sessions, and still get two days out of this battery. Installed in both boots myself in about 30 minutes, super simple (of course found a couple youtube videos).
