This was my first experience with this brand and will not be my last. The fabric design I chose is unique in that I haven't seen it on any other dress or shirt on Amazon like a few of the other prints out there. The fabric is also a good weight, not thin and see through but also not so thick that it can only be used in winter, it has good stretch, and great recovery. The material is also soft and buttery on both the inside and outside, not shiny just super nice, it is a simple dress pattern, but you can make it look very classy and feminine. The colors on this fabric are fun to play with so you can wear it different ways and get lots of outfits out of it. The sizing chart is a bit off, as I usually wear XL which is what I ordered but for my bust measurements I should have ordered XXL, I am glad that I didn't, so I would say error on ordering your normal size and then go from there as these dresses do have quite a bit of stretch to them so are fairly forgiving. My measurements are 5'4" 195-200 lbs, 44" bust, 40" waist, and 45" hips. There are similar dresses like this on amazon by different brands and I have plenty of them and I would say that this brand is perhaps a step above those other brands in the fit and the especially the material. In comparison this dress isn't quite as flowy in the skirt as the other brands which means the gathered area at the waist isn't as gathered which means that the bottom of the dress isn't as swishy either. Not a bad thing but it does have a bit of a different cut to the dress design. Also, this dress hits me at my ankles or just above which is great and after I wore it, I didn't notice any stretch of the fabric, like the thinner fabrics the other brands use. I have 2 other striped maxi dresses by this company. I love the fit, the style and the fabric, which has a nice weight to it, not see through and doesn’t look cheap at all. I gave this black with white stripe dress 4 stars because the seam binding that shows on the neck was cut in such a way that a white stripe is what you see for half of the front neckline but tapers to all black on the remaining half. For a dress at this price point, I probably shouldn’t expect perfection, but the gray and white stripe dress i bought from this company has a neckline bound by the same color from left side to right side as it should be. The length of this maxi is perfect for me. I am 5’7”, 132 lbs , 34D. I bought a small and the hem touches the top of my feet and fits well everywhere else. The length is still fine if I wear 2” block heel sandals. It’s such a comfortable and cool dress for the summer desert heat in Arizona, where I live. In this company’s defense, the customer service was good when I bought their white with black stripe sleeveless maxi. I discovered the seam connecting the bodice to the skirt was 1/2 inch lower on one side of the front bodice, which would normally be no big deal except the horizontal striping of the fabric made this discrepancy fairly obvious. I requested an exchange and had a replacement dress in 2 days that was sewn as it should be. I recommend this dress in both the sleeveless and long sleeve version with the caveat to watch for tailoring details mentioned above, which you may or may not mind if they are less than spot on. A very flattering summer maxi dress. It lays on the body in all the perfect ways. I love the “hidden” side pockets. The navy/white stripe dress will look great with any cardigan or even denim jean jacket. It will pair well with any sandal and the entire fit makes it a versatile outfit for weekend errands or a day relaxing at home. I’m very happy with the purchase and I have added a different print into a wish list for purchasing on a rainy day. The fit is true to the size. I’m curvy as well (wider hips, smaller waist) and it fits my body style really well. This is not one of those dresses where you have to be super skinny to wear it. Ordered two other colors before and they were great. I expected same from the third one. Wrong. I received dress took off tag and hung up to wear next day. Went to put on and it is pass the floor measured and the dress in 4 to 5 inches longer then the other two. Not digging through trash to get tag to return so I'm now out money for a dress I am not paying to get hemmed because they did not measure correctly on length. I will not order again. It's a shame as I planned on ordering more of this brand due to really liking the first 2. Before on length and check before taking off tags. Read more
